Abstract: A method of converting a CMYK toner printer to print with a white toner, comprising the steps: providing a CMYK toner printer; wherein the toner printer has four printing cartridges; wherein the four printing cartridges comprise a black toner printing cartridge, a cyan toner printing cartridge, a magenta toner printing cartridge, and a yellow toner printing cartridge; removing the black toner printing cartridge from the toner printer, such that there is an empty toner cartridge slot; providing a white toner printing cartridge that is filled with a white toner; installing the white toner printing cartridge into the empty toner cartridge slot; and providing raster image processor (RIP) software, such that the printer is able to incorporate the white toner into one or more images printed by the printer.

Abstract: A method of converting a toner printing cartridge to have a different toner, comprising the steps: providing one or more toner printing cartridges that each have an initial toner; disassembling the one or more toner printing cartridges; emptying the initial toner from each of the one or more toner printing cartridges; cleaning the one or more toner printing cartridges to create one or more empty and clean toner printing cartridges; reassembling the one or more empty and clean toner printing cartridges; filling each of the one or more reassembled toner printing cartridges with a replacement toner; and wherein the replacement toner is different from the initial toner.

Abstract: The invention is a replacement printed circuit board or chip that allows a printer to utilize a replacement printer cartridge. The printed circuit board has an encrypted memory device and a microcontroller, wherein the microcontroller is programmed to intercept the request from the printer for the unique lot number data and to provide the appropriate unique lot number data to the printer in response to the request. The encrypted memory device is programmed just like the custom original equipment manufacturer encrypted memory device, and, with the exception of providing the unique lot number data to the printer, communicates with the printer just as the original equipment manufacturer encrypted memory device would.
