Patents Assigned to Ultra-High Speed Network
  • Patent number: 6061065
Abstract: In a method of representing and rendering three-dimensional data on a computer display using vectors, a three-dimensional surface to be displayed is divided into a large number of unit surfaces. A coordinate position of each unit area is displayed by vector information constituted by a normal vector which has a vector direction indicating a normal direction of each unit surface and a vector length indicating an absolute value of a surface area of each unit surface. The normal vectors are combined to obtain data for representing the three-dimensional surface.

  • Patent number: 5937094
Abstract: A method for compressing and decompressing multidimensional data based on approximating the data space by a smoothed particle cluster representation. The smoothed particle cluster representation is obtained by simulation for relaxation motion of a simulated particle corresponding to a sampling point to obtain a statistical average arrangement of the simulated particles on the basis of an equation of motion based on a potential theory given by an assumption that the simulated particles are moved upon receiving a repulsive force between the simulated particles, a velocity resistance, and a force proportional to a functional potential gradient having a large negative value in a region having a large original data value. The coordinates and an interval of the sampling points are obtained in accordance with an arrangement state of the simulated particles. The volume associated with each sampling point for obtaining the associated data value is the volume of the simulated particle.

  • Patent number: 5881065
Abstract: A data transfer switch includes a switch controller and a selector switch unit. The switch controller selects one of transfer requests having the same output accommodation unit serving as a transfer destination from all transfer requests output from the input accommodation units, outputs a selector control signal, as data to be transferred to a transfer destination output accommodation unit, the selector control signal designating to select data from a transfer source input accommodation unit, and outputs a transfer permission to the transfer source input accommodation unit.

  • Patent number: 5850226
Abstract: In a method of transferring and displaying 3-D shape data in a system including a transmission unit for transmitting 3-D shape data constituted by a plurality of elements representing shapes, and a reception display unit for receiving the 3-D shape data and displaying the 3-D shape data as an image, the transmission unit is caused to progressively transmit the 3-D data in units of elements. The reception display unit is caused to receive elements transmitted from the transmission unit and to progressively display the elements in an reception order.

  • Patent number: 5805072
Abstract: In response to a band reservation request based on a VC connection request or a burst information transmission start request upon a call connection from an originating station, a switching node accommodating the originating station sends a band reservation request to a two-layer subnet manager. This two-layer subnet manager sequentially and parallelly sends band reservation requests in the direction of low hierarchical level, i.e., direction of one-layer subnetwork. The band reservations for a given link located on a desired route are performed by switching nodes located on the two sides of the given link.
