  • Patent number: 5829909
Abstract: A male coupler end fitting assembly in combination with a flexible conduit is disclosed. The male coupler includes a substantially cylindrical body portion having a male adaptor end and a conduit attachment end disposed on opposing ends of the cylindrical body portion. The male adaptor end has a chamfered surface terminating in a protruding disc shaped end face of a constant uniform diameter, and a transition bevel of a constant uniform diameter circumscribing the male coupler. A relief surface is formed which circumscribes the male coupler, the relief surface being disposed adjacent the transition bevel and perpendicular to ta longitudinal axis. An end face wall circumscribes the male coupler and is disposed adjacent the conduit attachment end and perpendicular to the longitudinal axis.

  • Patent number: 5466996
Abstract: The remote-control device features a servomechanism that transmits the movements of a first control cable or tie rod, which is connected to handgrip or control pedal, to a second cable or tie rod which is connected to an application. The servomechanism features two neutral levers with bodies having a cylindrical sector. The levers are connected, respectively, to the cables or tie rods. This servomechanism features a shaft of a geared motor which is arranged coaxially between two bodies of the levers, features a spiral spring arranged between the two bodies and the shaft, and is tightly wound on the shaft. The spring has opposing ends which face outward and extend between the bodies. The servomechanism further features a transducer which detects the movements of first control cable and actuates an electronic unit which controls the geared motor in such a way that the remote control can be effected electromechanically or, in the event that the electrical components malfunction, mechanically.

  • Patent number: 5423277
Abstract: In a helm, throttle and directional control system for small craft, a safety device arranged to operate between an actuating member and an actuated member has such members coupled rotatively together by means of mechanical one-way coupling devices wherein a resilient force holds the actuated member constantly biassed to a locked position, and wherein the locking action is released by moving the actuating member against the resilient force, thereby motion can be transferred to the actuated member from the actuating member.

  • Patent number: 5156574
Abstract: In a power-assisted chain drive actuator for opening and closing gating fixtures, a drive chain has successive links formed of pairs of plates being parallel and swivel connected to each other by crosswise studs having an increased middle diameter holding the plates apart; the chain is also provided with members for limiting the relative angular displacement of adjacent links in the chain; between the middle increased diameters there engage the teeth of a drive sprocket; the limiting members prevent the chain from becoming deflected in the direction of its remote side from the drive sprocket past a position of substantially straight alignment of the links and take up the bending couples on the chain on application of a push force to a fixture leaf.
