Abstract: An improved transmission system for a document feeder, in which a constant one-way-rotating gear train is mounted in an output zone so as to cause a transmission shaft in the output zone to rotate in one direction only to send out a sheet of document no matter the driving gear rotates clockwise or counter-clockwise; therefore, as soon as a first sheet of document moves out of the scanning line without moving out of the output zone, the driving gear will change its rotation clockwise so as to have a next sheet of document fed into the scanning zone; therefore, the feeding distance between two sheets of document will be reduced, and consequently the whole feeding time for a document will be reduced, too.

Abstract: A method to simplify the use of a plurality of identical processors connected in parallel. The method contains the steps of: (a) obtaining a computer system having a CPU and a plurality of identical processors connected in parallel, the processors are also connected to the CPU; (b) obtaining first and second clocks of different oscillation frequencies, wherein the first clock having a slower oscillation frequency than the second clock; (c) connecting the first clock to only one of the plurality of processors and connecting the second clock to the rest of the plurality of processors; and (d) instructing the CPU to check only the processor connected to the first clock, which is connected to the slower clock, for a ready signal, and instructing the CPU to proceed to next step if a ready signal is received from the processor connected to said first clock.
Abstract: A simple digital method is disclosed for controlling the digital signals sent out from a pluralities of identical signal processors (i.e, signal generators) so as to achieve synchronization. The method comprises the steps of: (a) obtaining a gate array logic circuit containing a plurality of pairs of comparison terminals and reference terminals, each of the comparison terminals is connected to a respective signal processor and the reference terminals are respectively connected to at least two different signal processors; (b) performing a gate array logic circuit operation, which comprises the following sub-steps: (i) performing a waiting procedure for each pair of comparison terminal and reference terminal until it is received that the comparison terminal is "1" and the reference terminal is "0", then moving to a gate procedure; otherwise, continuing the waiting procedure (i.e., no disable signal is sent out); (ii) performing a gate procedure by continuously sending out a "1" gate signal, i.e.

The filter frame is provided with (1) a side wall, a bottom, and a top wall, the top wall having an outer face and an inner face; (2) at least one frame rack formed on the side wall of the filter frame for holding a color filter; and (3) a gear track formed on the inner face of the top wall engageable with the gear attached to the axle of the motor.
Abstract: A lamp shade moving mechanism for transparency scanning includes a guiding rack, a sliding block, a driving motor and a belt. Grooves are formed on inside wall of two lateral sides of guiding rack to hold and lead sliding block. Driving motor and belt move sliding block to make a linear to-and-fro movement along guiding rack. A lamp shade is disposed on the sliding block, characterized by having simple components and capable of performing high speed scanning.
Abstract: A movable base board for an optical scanner includes a handle being disposed on a rectangular opening formed on the bottom of the movable base board. A concave recess is formed on the handle for hand grasping. The handle is fixed on the movable base board by means of latch studs and snap pin engaging with openings formed on the movable base board.
Abstract: A buffer device for packings, including at least one base unit, each base unit constructed of an elongated, channel-like base frame and two supporting frames joined by the base frame, the base frame being formed by folding up a punched cardboard and, having a rectangular horizontal bottom wall and two vertical side walls raised from two opposite long sides of the horizontal bottom walls, each supporting frame being formed by folding up a respective punched cardboard and having a vertical side wall and a side matched rectangular box, the vertical side wall of either supporting frame being top notched and engaged into a mounting slot at either end of the base frame to block up either open end of the base frame permitting the horizontal bottom wall of the base frame to be supported on the rectangular box of either supporting frame.
Abstract: A compact, high-speed, high resolution, low-cost color filter driver for use in a color optical reader. The image of a document is reflected through a cylindrical color filter assembly rotated by a motor, causing a charge coupled device to be exposed to the light three times (red, blue, green) as the motor was rotated through a half run, and the document scanning portion moves ahead for one step. The color image of the document is reproduced by repeating the aforesaid procedure again and again through the operation of the single color charge coupled device and the cylindrical color filter assembly.
