  • Patent number: 6687027
Abstract: A parallel driving mechanism for an optical chassis in a scanner includes a casing, an optical chassis, a linkage member, a screw bar and a driving member. The casing has two parallel guide rails. The optical chassis has two rollers at two ends movably resting on the guide rails and two pivotal joints. The linkage member has two symmetrical upper links pivotally engaging with two symmetrical lower links on two sleeves which have opposite internal screw threads formed therein. The driving member may rotate the screw bar which moves the sleeves to move toward or against each other so that the upper and lower links may be extended or withdrawn to more the optical chassis moving reciprocally on the guide rails to perform scanning operation.

  • Patent number: 6641272
Abstract: A module of reflection mirrors of L-shape according to the invention, arranged in an optical chassis of scanner, is comprised of a first L-shaped mirror and a second L-shaped mirror. The recession portions for the second L-shaped mirror and the first L-shaped mirror are corresponded to each other in the space. After entering the module with a specific angle, an incident light is reflected several times between the two L-shape mirrors before it leaves the module with another angle again. Wherein, there are a first reflection zone and a second reflection zone at the recession portion of the first L-shaped mirror, and there are a third reflection zone and a fourth reflection zone at the recession portion of the second L-shaped mirror.

  • Patent number: 6637654
Abstract: The invention is a scan device with elastic reserve type and its scan method, mainly applied to the light, thin, short and small scanner, image recorder, etc. The invention includes a guide bar, a chassis, a gear structure, an elastic module, a fastening structure and a sensor device, wherein, a scan module is on the chassis, the gear structure is consisting of at least one gear, the fastening structure is consisting of at least two fasteners and the sensor device is consisting of at least two sensors with one objective. To use the elasticity with the feature of reserving ability and the fastening structure is to move the chassis for scanning. The scanning motion of start and stop is via the sensor device. For combining the function of the above each part, most of them take traditionally mechanical transmission except that scan module is electrical power.

  • Patent number: 6471203
Abstract: A paper separating device of the automatic document feeder can be assembled with a paper case loaded at least one piece of paper to provide the automatic paper separating and feeding function. The separating device includes: a paper feeding roller, which is located at one side of the paper case to carry its internal paper moving along the rolling tangent direction; a friction slice, which has one side near the paper feeding roller and locates the paper between the friction slice and the paper feeding roller; a first elastic component, which is combined at one bottom of the friction slice to provide the elastic force perpendicular to the tangent direction to force the friction slice approach the paper feeding roller; the characteristic is there is a second elastic component located at the other side of the friction slice to provide an elastic force opposite to the tangent to force the friction slice move toward the opposite tangent direction.

  • Patent number: 6073924
Abstract: A paper-loading mechanism for a document duplicating machine, which is driven by a reciprocating part in a document duplicating machine and performs periodical paper-loading control on a paper loader of the document duplicating machine, comprises an actuating unit, a transmitting unit, a paper-feeding pushrod, and a torsion spring. The actuating unit is utilized to provide reciprocating motion for the paper-loading mechanism for a document duplicating machine and is pushed by the reciprocating part along a line parallel and adjacent to one end of the trajectory of the reciprocating part. The transmitting unit is connected with the actuating unit and is used to transfer the reciprocating motion from the actuating unit to the feeding pushrod. The paper-feeding pushrod is located along one side of the paper loader of the document duplicating machine and is rotated along its own longitudinal central axis.
