Abstract: Methods, apparatus, computer applications, and systems are provided for enabling identification of content to be compiled into a shopping application at a user device. In one embodiment, a general layout for a number of content modules to be displayed and identifying information for content to be inserted are provided from a network server to a user device, the user device then calls the appropriate content and utilizes the layout to generate a page for display to the user natively. One specific variant, activity and profile data collected at the user device via a separate application may be stored at the network and used to select content by the server.

Abstract: System and method for coaching based on workout history. Improved solutions enable intelligent management of a user's personal fitness journey based on workout recommendations that closely align with the user's traits. In one exemplary embodiment, workout data for a population of different individuals is analyzed to identify groups of similarly performing individuals. Each group of individuals is analyzed to generate an expected profile that approximates the physiological and/or psychological traits of the group. An expected profile includes heuristics and/or performance metrics that enable dynamic coaching during workouts. Subsequently thereafter, user's can be dynamically coached by their client device, based on the expected profile.

Abstract: System and method for recipe discovery and consumption logging. Improved solutions enable intelligent management of a user's personal fitness journey i.e., based on their overall health in their exercise and dietary habits. In one exemplary embodiment, recipes may be curated and tagged from a variety of sources such as health and fitness blogs and/or other articles of interest. Recipe tagging ensures that users can retrieve only the specific recipes of interest to them from a variety of sources which may be focused on the public at large. Additionally, the recipe discovery and consumption logging interface may enable users to log actual consumption activity for a selected recipe, including ad hoc user modifications to recipe ingredients.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for nutrition tracking. In one exemplary embodiment, a methods and apparatus for nutrition tracking are provided which receive selections of consumable items from a user, identify at least one item to be purposefully omitted in nutrition calculation, and calculate total nutrition for a period of time based on the selections. The calculation comprises purposeful omission of the nutritional data of the identified at least one of the plurality of consumable items. In order to accomplish the calculation, each of the selected items is associated with a data record in a database, each data record in the database comprising nutritional data regarding a consumable item to which the data record corresponds.

Abstract: An article of footwear includes an upper, a first sole member, and a second sole member. The first sole member is connected to the upper. Together, the first sole member and the upper define a cavity. The first sole member includes an outer surface and a textured inner surface, the textured inner surface defining a pattern of shapes. The second sole member is positioned in the cavity. The second sole member includes a textured lower surface directly engaging the textured inner surface of the first sole member. The textured lower surface of the second sole member is complementary to the textured inner surface of the first sole member.
Abstract: A method of operating an activity tracking system includes collecting activity data from an activity tracking device, receiving an activity type associated with the activity data via a user input, and evaluating the collected activity data to determine whether one or more aspects thereof are within a predetermined range of values assigned to the received activity type.
Abstract: An article of footwear includes a sole and an upper that includes a heel end, a toe end, a medial side, and a lateral side. The upper defines a throat opening between the medial and lateral sides, and the sole and the upper jointly defining a foot cavity. The article of footwear further includes a support member extending from a first side of the article of footwear to a second side of the article of footwear, and an actuator fixedly attached to the support member at the first side of the article of footwear. A securing strap extends across the throat opening and has a first end operably connected to the actuator and a second end fixedly connected to the second side of the article of footwear.

Abstract: A system and method for automatically trimming and reclassifying workout data is disclosed. The system receives data associated with a workout of a user from at least one sensor associated with the user, the workout being classified as a first type of workout. The system processes the data to identify at least one time interval during the workout that does not correspond to the first workout type. The system prompts the user to select whether to remove or reclassify a subset of the data that is associated with the identified time interval. If the user chooses to do so, the system removes or reclassifies the subset of the data that is associated with the identified time interval. The system generates and provides workout depictions using the data, at least one of which illustrates only the remaining data that was not removed or reclassified.

Abstract: A textile shirt and a method of forming a shirt from a textile material are described herein. The method includes marking a surface of a circularly formed textile structure with a boundary line that defines approximately half of a shirt pattern. Portions of the textile structure disposed exteriorly of the boundary line are removed and the boundary line is marked along the surface of the textile structure such that once the portions are removed from the textile structure, a shirt can be formed from the textile structure with a single seam. The shirt includes a yoke portion including armholes defined by sleeves disposed on either side of the yoke portion and a tubular torso portion configured to span the torso of a wearer beneath the armholes. The shirt includes a single interior seam extending along the sleeves and along a back of the textile shirt between the yoke portion and the chest portion.
Abstract: A shoe includes: a heel portion; a toe portion; a sole portion; and an electrical assembly. The electrical assembly includes at least: a magnetometer configured to determine a direction of movement of the shoe; and an accelerometer configured to determine acceleration of the shoe. Direction and acceleration data are used to generate a display of a map indicating traversal of a route by a wearer of the shoe at user interface of a user device.
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for determining, recommending, and applying a calibration parameter to collected activity data. In one embodiment, calibration parameter is estimated based on physical aspects of the user and automatically applied to collected data. In another embodiment, the calibration parameter is determined based on secondary data which is more precise than the data which is collected. The calibration factor based on the more precise data may comprise a recommended calibration factor, yet the user may be enabled to select any calibration factor he/she prefers via an interactive display. In one specific variant, the activity comprises a walk or run activity of the user, and the calibration parameter comprises the user's specific stride length. In another variant, the user selects a calibration factor by reviewing a list of previous activity against that same activity after calibration given a particular calibration factor is applied.
