Abstract: A low voltage and low current compression circuit for connection between a telephone receiver and a telephone headset earphone, the circuit having an operational amplifier with variable gain, the gain being determined by the output signal level and by the presence or absence of transient signal spikes generated by the telephone receiver. The amplifier is connected to a voltage clipper circuit and a JFET feedback device, wherein the JFET operates as a variable resistance to control the signal feedback.
Abstract: A selectable impedance matching circuit for matching the impedance of a telephone handset adapted for either a carbon microphone input or an electronic microphone input to the impedance of a headset microphone. The selectable impedance matching circuit includes a switch for connecting the headset microphone to the handset microphone input via a full wave bridge circuit, or connecting the headset microphone to the handset microphone input via an isolation transformer and resistor load.
Abstract: A microphone and earphone headset assembly, including an earphone housing having a microphone and boom pivotally attached, the earphone housing having a peripheral groove. An earpiece adapter includes a C-shaped clamp for fitting into the peripheral groove, and the adapter also has a mounting hole for attachment to a headset band or to an earpiece.
