    Abstract: Flatting compositions for forming dull coatings which have improved resistance to change in gloss or flatness when subjected to elevated temperatures comprise fine size flatting agent particles of an in situ prepared cross-linked organic polymer. Flatted coating compositions are formed by cross-linking this modified organic polymer particle in dry form, or dispersed in an inert liquid medium, when added to a solubilized film-forming organic binder.
