  • Patent number: 10567533
Abstract: The invention relates to a presence status determination system and a computer implemented method to determine the presence status of a first user registered in a network and to communicate this presence status to a second user, who would like to make contact with the first user. An input device for a presence status determination device records a predetermined first presence status component determined by the first user and forwards the first presence status component to the presence status determination device (20). A contact person registration device records the identity of the second user and reports the identity to a relationship determination device. The relationship determination device determines, with the aid of a computer, a second presence status component, which considers the social proximity between the first user and the second user.

  • Patent number: 10546115
Abstract: A computer system and method for authenticating a user device associated with a user during the process of logging into a server. The server can generate input requests each of which is valid only during a defined time period, and displays said input requests in succession in a login screen. The user device reads in the input request displayed at the time of the login and calculates a response by using said input request, the password of the user device, and the current time. The user device transmits the calculated response to the login screen and the response is transmitted by the login screen to the server. The server confirms the authentication when the response calculated by the server matches the response transmitted by the user device.

  • Patent number: 10536490
Abstract: A gateway receives a message from a first terminal to establish a connection between the first terminal and a second terminal. The gateway sends a second message to the second terminal to offer a connection. After receiving the first message from the first terminal, the gateway receives subsequent third messages from the first terminal that identify candidates for assisting in the formation of the connection. The gateway saves information about these candidates. The gateway either uses such information for facilitating the formation of the connection or forwards that information to the second communication terminal after receiving an answer accepting the establishment of a connection from the second terminal and determining whether the second terminal has a WebRTC client.

  • Patent number: 10516881
Abstract: A method and apparatus that tests video quality includes a superimposing of at least one code to a video that is to be transmitted by a communication device to another communication device. The at least one code is transmitted such that the superimposed at least one code is extractable and readable from the decoded video by the device that receives the transmitted video. The extracted at least one code may then be read to determine the quality level of the transmitted video. The determination of quality for the received video may be based upon one or more tests performed using at least one code extracted from the received video.

  • Patent number: 10491469
Abstract: A method and system for automatically configuring an application after downloading the same via a website such as an enterprise web application that is installed on a server in a customer network. A “one-touch configuration” method simplifies the initial configuration of the application to be installed, and makes manual entries after installation unnecessary. The method according to the invention is further applicable to obtaining applications from the Internet, wherein a customer has an account with a provider. The customer logs in using the customer login thereof at the website of the company. The company is aware of which applications the customer has purchased, by means of the customer account information, and can proved corresponding supplementary downloads, including a licensing key. The licensing key can then be transmitted to the installed application in a simple manner using the method presented.

  • Patent number: 10455164
Abstract: A multipoint audio processing method for processing audio streams originating from a plurality of audio clients is executed in a multipoint audio processing node. The method includes the steps of receiving control information on how to preselect audio streams from received audio streams, receiving audio streams from audio clients connected to the distributed multipoint audio processing node and generating evaluated audio streams by analyzing packets of the received audio streams in terms of at least one audio communication characteristic, and attaching an analysis result information of said analysis to said packets, in each audio stream. Audio streams are selected by deciding on whether or not any evaluated audio stream is to be transmitted further, based on the received control information and/or the analysis result information contained in said evaluated audio streams.

  • Patent number: 10455595
Abstract: A telecommunication system and a method for generating a real time connection between a first endpoint and a second endpoint in an IP network using an ICE STUN connectivity check follow a procedure that includes the steps of generating a list of possible connection paths between the first endpoint and the second endpoint, establishing a respective priority for each possible connection path included in the list, and generating the real time connection between the first endpoint and the second endpoint. During this procedure first there is an attempt to generate the real time connection using the highest-priority connection path. If this is not possible, then the system attempts to establish the real connection using the connection path with the next highest priority, until the real time connection is actually established. Furthermore, for each possible connection path, its respective quality-of-service value is determined and is considered when establishing its priority on the list.

  • Patent number: 10432967
Abstract: Functional data structure for coding a set of digital images. Each of the images is compressed into at least-one first data stream portion, which comprises a portion of the macroblocks reduced by physical redundancies, and-one second data stream portion, which describes the redundancies. For the intraprediction macroblocks, the first data stream portion can be reduced by color value statements with correlations to color values from rows of pixels outside and at one edge of the intraprediction macroblock and for which, in the case of pixels outside the compressed image, a color value default is assumed. The second data stream can comprise intrapredictors for describing the correlations, with coding of an area which is divided into first areas, each of which is occupied by the macroblocks of one of the digital images, and a second area which spaces apart the first areas and is occupied by default color value pixels.
