  • Patent number: 4684086
Abstract: A pipe saddle has saddle halves connected with each other by at least one connection. Each saddle half has an essentially U-shaped section including side pieces with semicircular recesses to receive a pipe, hose or the like. At least one of the saddle halves has an inwardly bent support part in the vicinity of its recess and extending parallel to the axis of the recess for the support of the pipe, the hose or the like. To configure the support part so that the surface pressure is substantially uniformly distributed between the support part and the pipe, hose or the like clamped in the pipe saddle, the support surface of the support part is considerably longer in its section adjacent to the base part of the U-shaped saddle half than its sections remote from the base part. The edge of the support can define the border line of a simple geometric shape.

  • Patent number: 4674720
Abstract: A pipe saddle has a detent closure including a detent in the vicinity of one end of a saddle body and a detent support in the vicinity of the other end of the saddle body cooperating with the detent when in a closed position. The detent support is located in the vicinity of a passage receiving the detent. The detent is located in an edge portion cut out of the end of the saddle body and curved inward. To provide a detent facing radially inward at least in the fastened state of the pipe saddle, a detent recess is provided separate from the passage. The recess has an edge on which the detent can be supported. The detent recess is arranged in the vicinity of the part of the saddle body lying on the periphery of the pipe saddle.

  • Patent number: 4580603
Abstract: A shutoff valve has a movable flap member rotatably mounted in a valve housing. The valve housing has concentric, spherically-shaped sealing surface zones which cooperate with an edge of the flap member. The housing also has two coaxial couplings and one perpendicular coupling. By rotation of the flap member, flow can be directed from the perpendicular coupling to either of the two coaxial couplings. The three couplings have axes which meet at a common point. The rotational axis of the flap member passes through that common point. The two concentric spherical sealing surface zones are separated by a 90.degree. rotation of the flap member.
