Abstract: A surgical scalpel blade insertion device comprises a support on which is mounted means for receiving and holding a surgical scalpel blade. Said means is configured to tightly support the blade in a vertical position with the blade part used for anchoring to a scalpel handle exposed for receiving the mating handle part. In a preferred embodiment, the blade support means comprises a spring steel U-shaped clip member mounted in a slot in the support, with the clip having a narrowed spacing located just above the support surface.
Abstract: A holder for a box dispenser of articles for use in a professional office or at home, comprising an L-shaped member having a shelf for receiving the box and an upstanding wall portion on which is mounted a clip. Preferably the clip is spring-biased to hold the box in place. The clip is preferably vertically movable via telescoping members or slots to accommodate different sized boxes.
Abstract: A tool holder for mounting on the instrument panel in a dentist's office contains a grooved surface for receiving one or more syringe or scalpel or other implement holders. These holders have hexagonal bases for mounting in one of several different positions. A novel syringe holder employs a tapered threaded member for gripping the protective cover on the needle so that the cover can serve as the syringe holder.
Abstract: A holder for a used needle removed from a hypodermic syringe or a used scalpel blade. The holder safely encloses the needle or blade, and can be safely disposed of with the needle or blade. The holder is supported on a base with a releasable fitting enabling the holder to be oriented at assorted angles. The holder can also serve to support the syringe or scalpel while treating a patient.
