Abstract: A communications system (10) comprises a hand held access terminal (11) which enables a first user and a second user to communicate using a plurality of predetermined questions and answers, which are stored in a repository (12) and are selectable by the first and second users via said access terminal. The questions and answers are stored in a plurality of different languages, so that users of different languages can communicate with each other.
