Abstract: A bin cleaning plant includes a bin destacking and overturning station, a plurality of bin washing stations, the whole being connected to a conveyor that transfers the bins in an orderly, continuous and sequential manner through the stations; and means that sense and measure the level of dirt present in each of said bins and that modify the washing process selectively for each of said bins according to the level of dirtiness detected. Preferably, the measurement and control means are connected to optical devices oriented toward the internal surfaces of the bins, and detect the optical/luminous/chromatic image reflected from their internal surfaces. The image is converted into one or more electrical signals with representative characteristics, which signals are compared with corresponding levels selectively predetermined and previously memorized. The measuring and control means control actuators suitable to control/drive one or more of the operating parameters of the washing station.

  • Patent number: 8061503
Abstract: The system comprises a first conveyor and singularization line for fruit and vegetable products defined within a V-slot made in a body and presenting two first motorised belts installed on opposite walls which define the slot near the bottom of the slot and two motorised belts installed on each of said walls on a higher level than said first belts; said first belts presenting a different speed from that of said second belts.

  • Patent number: 8061501
Abstract: A conveyor line for fruit or vegetables has a plurality of rollers defining seats for the products therebetween. At a selection station, a first member detects at least one feature of the product, and at a sorting station, a second member diverts similar products toward the same destination. Upstream of the selection station, the direction of rotation of the rollers is controlled to cause each product to settle correctly in its seat or shift into an adjacent seat, so that during detection of the features of the products, the products remain properly seated.

  • Publication number: 20100029351
Abstract: An apparatus for separating objects, such as cherries, that are joined together by removable links, includes a collecting vessel having a water inlet and into which the objects are conveyed by means separate from the water inlet. One or more conduits extend downstream from the collecting vessel and have respective inflow mouths situated downstream of the collecting vessel. Water pumps within the conduits cause liquid to whirl about with the products taken in therewith, and pump them into the respective outflow mouths so as to eject them. The collecting vessel is a tank whose wall facing the inflow mouths has an upper edge adapted to perform as a horizontal spillway. The upper edge is situated higher than the inflow mouths, and a chute between the upper edge and the inflow mouths causes the liquid and the objects to converge towards the inflow mouths. Preferably, water ejected from the conduits is recovered and recycled.

  • Publication number: 20090159401
Abstract: The system (1) comprising a conveyor line (3) defined by a plurality of rollers (5) in which there are determined housing seats of the product (2) between adjacent rollers (5), a selection station (6) in which by means of at least one first member (7 or 8) at least one feature of the product (2) is detected, and a station (17) in which by means of a second member (18) the products (2) with the same features are sorted towards the same destination. The system (1), upstream of said selection station (6), comprises at least one assembly (24) adapted to determine the rotation of the rollers (5) so that the product (2) accommodated in its seat may either correctly settle in such a seat or shifts into an adjacent seat.
