Abstract: A watertight slide fastener includes two tapes each having a waterproof layer. Each of the two tapes includes an inner edge on which a plurality of consecutively disposed scoops and an upper stopper scoop made of a rigid plastic are mounted. A first end of each upper stopper scoop is contiguous to the last one of the plurality of scoops. A second end of each upper stopper scoop has an extension. A top end stop is formed on upper and lower faces of each of the two tapes by an elastomer and envelops an upper face and a lower face of each extension. Each of two outer sides of the top end stop has a shoulder. A slider includes an upper body and a lower body interconnected to the upper body by a diamond. Each of two sides of the upper and lower bodies has a flange.
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a watertight zipper solves the problem of low watertight effect of the modern watertight zipper. The method includes producing a waterproof stringer tape and forming a waterproof layer by injection molding. The waterproof layer covers a lateral edge of the waterproof stringer tape and includes a plurality of recesses. The method for manufacturing the watertight zipper further includes forming an aperture in each of the plurality of recesses. The aperture extends through the waterproof layer and the waterproof stringer tape. The method for manufacturing the watertight zipper further includes forming a plurality of scoops in the plurality of recesses by injection molding.
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a watertight zipper includes forming a waterproof tape by extruding a polymeric material in a melted state wrapping around a cloth tape, cutting a side of the waterproof tape that is covered by the thick waterproof layer to form a side surface of the thick waterproof layer as an abutting surface, forming a plurality of apertures in the waterproof tape that extends through the cloth tape and the thick waterproof layer, and forming a plurality of scoops spaced from the thin waterproof layer and corresponding to the apertures. The waterproof tape includes a thick waterproof layer and a thin waterproof layer both formed by the polymeric material. The thick waterproof layer covers an upper surface, a lower surface and an edge of the cloth tape. The thin waterproof layer connects with the thick waterproof layer. An end of each scoop extends beyond the abutting surface.

Abstract: a manufacturing method of waterproof coil zipper includes preparing a coil zipper, extruding a melted polymer material to fill a gap between two teeth sets and an interspace between two tapes, and to cover surfaces of the two tapes, cooling the polymer material to integrally form an anti-permeating body filled in the gap and a waterproof layer covering the surfaces of the two tapes, and cutting the anti-permeating body by a cutting tool. Accordingly, complex steps and low efficiency in manufacture caused by conventional manufacturing method are thus improved.
Abstract: A water resistant slide fastener includes two supporting members made of a water resistant material. Each supporting member includes a first surface, a second surface opposite to the first surface, and a longitudinal edge. A plurality of coupling elements are formed on each supporting member. Each coupling element includes a first portion on the first surface of an associated supporting member and a second portion on the second surface of the associated supporting member. The first portion and the second portion of each coupling element extend beyond the longitudinal edge of the associated supporting member and have a gap therebetween. The longitudinal edge of each supporting member extends into the gaps of the coupling elements. The longitudinal edges of the supporting members overlap each other when the coupling elements of the supporting members are engaged with each other.
