Abstract: A system is provided for providing enhanced suction evacuation of a fluid storage tank, the system having a suction pipe disposed parallel and proximate to the bottom of the tank, having a section of the pipe proximal to the bottom of the tank being an opening through which the liquid is evacuated. The system may further provide a sump that is disposed on the bottom of the tank and not aligned with the opening of the suction pipe.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a mounting assembly for firmly securing a storage tank having a curved bottom wall to a chassis of a vehicle. The mounting assembly includes a pair of longitudinal support structures for securing to the bottom wall of the storage tank, a cross bracket for mounting between the longitudinal support structures, a sub-frame for supporting the longitudinal support structures, and a bracket assembly for securing the cross bracket to the sub-frame.

Abstract: A utility body for mounting to a frame of a vehicle includes a metallic support frame for securing to the vehicle frame. A metallic bed deck is mounted on the support frame. A first plastic side wall cabinet is mounted to the support frame on a first side of the bed deck. A second plastic side wall cabinet is mounted to the support frame on a second side of the bed deck. The first and second side wall cabinets each include a storage compartment. Each side wall cabinet has a front portion, a mid-portion and a rear portion. The front and rear portions of the side wall cabinets are slidably secured to the support frame, thereby allowing movement of the side wall cabinets relative to the support frame due to expansion and contraction of the plastic side wall cabinets.

Abstract: A vehicle underbody storage container includes an enclosure having a front wall with an opening therethrough. A resilient gasket surrounds the opening. A portion of the gasket protrudes outwardly beyond the front wall. A door is secured to the enclosure with a hinge. The door has an inner surface with the groove formed therein for engaging with the gasket. The gasket compresses within the groove to seal between the door and the enclosure.
