Abstract: A system for managing game-playing experiences includes one or more game-playing devices provided with communication interfaces for exchanging game-playing experiences therebetween. Each device includes computing hardware coupled to a graphical interface for presenting an interactive game thereupon. The computing hardware is operable to execute one or more game software products recorded on machine-readable data storage media for generating the interactive game. The one or more game software products include a game experience software module (GESW) for generating metadata concurrently with recording the game-playing experience substantially as presented via the graphical interface which enables the recorded game-playing experience to be subsequently managed prior to communication for distribution for viewing. Optionally, the metadata includes one or more metadata events which are searchable when subsequently viewing the game-playing experience.

Abstract: An audio apparatus for a portable device is provided. The portable device includes computing hardware coupled to associated data memory, which stores one or more audio or computer program products that include a plurality of audio libraries. The audio apparatus is operable to execute the audio products upon the computing hardware, whereby the audio products are operable to call the audio libraries to generate digital audio data. The digital audio data so generated is provided to sound-generating hardware, which is then operable to generate acoustic audio signals corresponding to the digital audio data. The audio apparatus is operable to host one or more replacement audio products, which are storable in the data memory. The audio apparatus is operable to invoke the replacement audio products as an alternative to the audio products for generating the digital audio data.

Abstract: A software development kit for capturing graphical image data is provided. The SDK is arranged to be employed in a device that includes computing hardware that is operable to execute one or more software applications for generating graphical image data. The SDK is arranged to execute concurrently with the software applications. The one or more software applications are operable to make one or more function calls to a graphics engine and/or a graphics library to generate the graphical image data. Meanwhile, the SDK is operable to intercept the function calls made by the one or more software applications to the graphics engine and/or the graphics library. Moreover, the SDK is operable to modify the function calls before these function calls are received by the graphics engine and/or the graphics library to enable the SDK to access, read, copy and/or modify the graphical image data and/or otherwise modify the function calls in any way to control the operations of the graphics engine and/or graphics library.
