  • Patent number: 9730928
Abstract: In one aspect, the invention relates to triazol-1-ol compounds, analogs thereof, compositions comprising same, and methods of using same, alone or in combination with other agents, to reactivate latent retroviruses, and more particularly to reactivate latent HIV-1. Such compounds, compositions, and methods can be used, for example, in connection with diagnosing and/or treating a retrovirus, and more specifically HIV-1. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present invention.

  • Publication number: 20140266144
Abstract: An on-chip power converter and an on-chip switching power supply implemented using a film bulk acoustic resonator (FBAR) in place of an inductor. This MEMS device offers high inductance density and high Q factor. FBARs can be conveniently fabricated in a CMOS compatible process. FBARs also shows better EMI results than conventional inductors.

  • Publication number: 20130064604
Abstract: A method of sequestering carbon dioxide is provided, the method comprising injecting carbon dioxide into a saline formation below an oil reservoir. The carbon dioxide may be sequestered at a pressure above about 10 MPa. The carbon dioxide may be sequestered at a pressure below about 30 MPa. The carbon dioxide may be sequestered at a temperature above about 25° C. The carbon dioxide may be sequestered at a temperature below about 60° C. The saline formation and the oil reservoir may contact each other, thereby forming an oil-water contact (OWC) layer. The carbon dioxide to be sequestered may be injected greater than about 10 m below the OWC layer. The carbon dioxide may be a gas, a liquid, a supercritical fluid, or a mixture thereof, when the carbon dioxide is injected into the saline formation.

  • Patent number: 7413546
Abstract: A method, system, apparatus and device for the monitoring, diagnosis and evaluation of the state of a dynamic system is disclosed. This method and system provides the processing means for receiving sensed and/or simulated data, converting such data into a displayable object format and displaying such objects in a manner such that the interrelationships between the respective variables can be correlated and identified by a user. This invention provides for the rapid cognitive grasp of the overall state of a critical function with respect to a dynamic system. The system provides for displayed objects, which change in real-time to show the changes of the functions of the system. It is a highly flexible system which works with a wide variety of applications, including biological systems, environmental systems, engineering systems, economic systems, mechanical systems, chemical systems and the like.
