Abstract: A threshold detection system may include multiple wireless devices, wherein each individual wireless device may include a transmitter to transmit a wireless signal. The threshold detection system may also include a receiver array of multiple receivers to detect the wireless signal of each individual wireless device in response to the individual wireless device being in range of the receiver array. The threshold detection system may also include a controller to receive detection signals from the receivers and determine a direction of travel of an individual wireless device relative to a predetermined threshold based on the received detection signals. The controller may also determine that the individual wireless device has crossed the predetermined threshold and trigger an audio or visual alert in response to the determination that the wireless device has crossed the predetermined threshold and is traveling in an exit direction based on the determined direction of travel.

Abstract: A gap covering system for an amusement park attraction includes a loading platform having a gap separating a first portion of the loading platform from a second portion of the loading platform. The gap covering system includes a ride vehicle coupled, through the gap, to a transport. The transport is configured to propel the ride vehicle along a loading path of the loading platform. The gap covering system includes a magnetic zipper positioned adjacent to the loading platform and configured to transition between a first configuration and a second configuration in at least a portion of the magnetic zipper. The magnetic zipper is configured to cover the gap in the first configuration and is configured to allow the ride vehicle to occupy a guest-accessible position on the loading platform in the second configuration.

Abstract: An image projection system may include a translucent or transparent projection screen and multiple lenticules disposed on or within the projection screen. The image projection system may also include a projector to project multiple images onto the projection screen. The images may include multiple views of a scene, and the projector may simultaneously project the images to generate a three-dimensional display of the scene.

Abstract: A method of transporting a ride vehicle in an amusement park ride includes moving the ride vehicle vertically along a frame to a height using a motion base lift assembly, rotating, using a base, the ride vehicle around an attraction tower, in which the attraction tower comprising a plurality of rooms and the base is configured to rotate about the attraction tower and is attached to the frame. The method also includes extending the ride vehicle into a room of the plurality of rooms via the motion base lift assembly.

Abstract: Present embodiments are directed to features for maintaining or providing a beach area that is adjacent a water feature and that includes beach surface material disposed in one or more containment structures such that a multi-colored or illuminated beach surface is provided. Present embodiments may include multiple containment structures arrayed in an area adjacent a water feature, wherein each containment structure holds beach surface material of a different color. Further, present embodiments may include creating and/or distributing iridescent and/or phosphorescent beach surface material in one or more containment structures that define the beach area. Additionally, present embodiments may include adjustable or attachable barrier extensions to facilitate maintenance. Further, present embodiments may include transparent or translucent beach surface material disposed in one or more containment structures and a lighting system under the beach surface materials.
