  • Patent number: 10821709
Abstract: An article of manufacture includes a first graphene layer, a second graphene layer over the first graphene layer, the second graphene layer oriented at a first interlayer twist angle with respect to the first graphene layer and bonded by interlayer covalent bonds to the first graphene layer, and a third graphene layer over the second graphene layer, the third graphene layer oriented at a second interlayer twist angle with respect to the second graphene layer and bonded by interlayer covalent bonds to the second graphene layer. A multi-layer graphene article includes at least three graphene layers, each graphene layer being oriented at an interlayer twist angle with respect to an adjacent graphene layer and bonded by interlayer covalent bonds to the adjacent graphene layer.

  • Patent number: 9580838
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for producing polymeric structures that have activated surfaces. The process proved to be simple, quick, with high production capacity and low operating costs. The process occurs by depositing a polymer solution, which is assisted by a high electric field, on a conductive liquid surface to produce particles and/or filaments that have an activated surface. More particularly, the process of the present invention has the ability to produce particles and/or filaments that have chemically activated surfaces, in a single process.

  • Publication number: 20160130430
Abstract: Polymeric blends of polystyrene (PS) and polylactic acid (PLA) are described, in the preparation of which a compatibilizing agent was added, preferably a PS-PLA block copolymer. Such compatibilizing agents act controlling phase separation of the blending compounds, and preventing excessive growth of polystyrene domains scattered in the PLA matrix; and this results in blends with good mechanical and thermal resistance.

  • Patent number: 8993775
Abstract: The present invention refers to the synthesis of precatalysts and the use of such precatalysts in ethylene oligomerization reactions for the selective production of alpha-olefins. More specifically, it refers to the preparation and use of coordination compounds containing polydentate ligands comprising Group 6 and 10 transition metal compounds, in particular chromium (III) and nickel (II). Such catalytic precursors present high catalytic activity and selectivity for the production of alpha-olefins.
