Abstract: The invention relates to a Microbulbifer bacterial strain isolated from a marine sponge, to its use in a process for manufacturing paraben compounds. The invention also relates to paraben compounds obtained from that Microbulbifer strain and to their uses. The Microbulbifer strain of the invention is Microbulbifer strain named L4-N2 deposited at the CNCM under the registration number 1-3714. The process of manufacturing paraben compounds of the invention makes use of this Microbulbifer strain. The invention finds application in the manufacture of paraben compounds, for use in particular in cosmetic, pharmaceutical, antifouling, detergent, sanitizing and disinfectant compositions.
