Abstract: Method for direct access to information stored in the nodes of a packet switching network comprises the steps of: collecting the pointers, corresponding to which the information required for processing the packets belonging to one and the same flow is stored in each node of the network;—constructing a distributed linked data structure (DLDS) in which the pointers are contained inside packets (P1, P2, P3) that traverse the DLDS-aware routers constituting the path between sender (A) and receiver (B) of the flow;—use of the DLDS data structure for direct access to the information stored in a DLDS-aware router, using a pointer of the DLDS contained in the packet in transit;—selection of the pointer of the DLDS contained in the packet in transit based on its position inside said packet, said position being equal to the serial number of the DLDS-aware router in the flow path, and checking of validity by consistency tests.

  • Publication number: 20130172396
Abstract: The invention relates to the use of 20-(4-carboxyphenyl)-2,13-dimethyl-3,12-diethyl-[22] pentaphyrine as antibacterial agent in photodynamic treatment. This expanded porphyrin derivatized in position 4 with a carboxyphenyl group proved very active after photo-oxidation both against S. aureus and E. hirae. Its high antibacterial activity and its low toxicity make this pentaphyrine particularly useful as antimicrobial agent both for photodynamic therapy against bacterial infections and in the disinfection of microbiologically contaminated liquids.

  • Publication number: 20110194552
Abstract: A wireless transmission and reception method for the transmission of sequences of signals between a first transceiver device and at least a second transceiver device, wherein the first transceiver device and second transceiver device are disposed outside a reciprocal direct radio-communication range. The method comprises a distribution step of a plurality of intermediate transceiver devices, disposed in a non-uniform manner between the first transceiver device and second transceiver devices as to form a linear transceiver chain. The method comprises a step of direct transmission, wherein a first sequence of signals is transmitted from the first transceiver device toward the second transceiver device at regular time intervals, temporally consecutive, able to define a synchronous times base in which each signal of the first sequence is re-transmitted from an intermediate device to an intermediate device immediately adjacent and successive along the path toward the second transceiver device.

  • Publication number: 20100248248
Abstract: The use for the serum quantification of the cytokine B-Lymphocyte Stimulator (BLyS) for the evaluation of the risk of immunization and transfusion reactions after blood transfusion, and for the monitoring of patients undergoing blood transfusion or re-transfusion in a patient that includes an initial step of taking a sample of blood from the patient, a step of analyzing the blood sample to determine the concentration of cytokine BLyS, a step of comparing the BLyS levels determined in the previous step and one or more reference values of concentration of cytokine BLyS, a step of identifying a significant deviation between the determined concentration of cytokine BLyS and the reference values of concentration of cytokine BLyS indicated in the previous step and a step of assigning a risk and/or therapeutic effectiveness with respect to the immune-mediated transfusion reactions mentioned above, based on the previous steps.

  • Patent number: 7638628
Abstract: The invention relates to a new class of ruthenium (II) complexes containing as ligands 2-(aminomethyl)pyridines and phosphines, proven to be extremely active catalysts in the reduction of ketones to alcohols via hydrogen transfer. By using 2-propanol as the hydrogen source with the ruthenium complexes, high yields of the corresponding alcohol can be rapidly obtained starting from linear and cyclic alkyl aryl, dialkyl and diaryl ketones. The conversion of ketones to alcohols can reach 100% if operating in a gaseous hydrogen atmosphere (2-3 atm). Where the phosphines used are optically active, starting from prochiral ketone compounds various types of optically active alcohols can be produced, being important intermediates in the pharmaceutical industry, in the agrochemical industry and for fine chemicals generally.

Abstract: A new female tetraploid kiwifruit plant, Actinidia chinensis, named ‘Soreli’. The new variety results from a controlled cross made using tetraploid A. chinensis ‘A137’ as seed-parent and A. chinensis ‘A134.41’ as pollen donor. ‘Soreli’ bears single flowers; the fruit is large (118 g on average), oblong, circular in cross section with a reddish brown skin and a brilliant yellow flesh; core is small. Fruit taste sweet, acidity is low. Fruit are. harvested earlier than both ‘Jintao’ and ‘Hayward’. Bud break occurs 6 and 8 days before ‘Jintao’ and ‘Hayward’ respectively and flowering time occurs 2 and 9 days before ‘Jintao’ and ‘Hayward’ respectively in Udine (46° 02? N., 13° 13?
