  • Patent number: 9246225
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention concerns an aperture antenna that comprises: a receiving element, which includes an aperture and is configured to receive, through the aperture, radio signals having frequencies within a given band of radio frequencies; a waveguide configured to receive radio signals from the receiving element; and a frequency selective structure, which is arranged between the receiving element and the waveguide, and comprises metamaterial structures that extend partially inside the receiving element and/or partially inside the waveguide and that are configured to cause the propagation, from the receiving element to the waveguide, of only the received radio signals that have frequencies comprised within a predetermined sub-band of the given band of radio frequencies. Furthermore, the frequency selective structure is configured to reflect back into the receiving element the received radio signals that have frequencies not comprised in the predetermined sub-band.

  • Patent number: 8316417
Abstract: Method for the dynamic secure management of an authenticated relational table forming part of a database; the method comprises the following steps: store the authenticated relational table in a secondary memory' with a high storage capacity and a slow data access time; maintain an authenticated skip list within the authenticated relational table in order to create an authentication superstructure; determine a signed hash or basis value which characterizes the entire authenticated relational table; authenticate the presence or otherwise of a set of elements belonging to the skip list via a root path suitable for calculating a check hash value comparable to the signed hash value which characterizes the entire authenticated relational table; and validate the result of the authentication step by checking that the check hash value calculated by means of the root path is equal to the signed hash value that characterizes the entire authenticated relational table.

  • Publication number: 20090311740
Abstract: A method for detecting a bacterial load comprising adding a sample for analysis to an analysis reagent in a sterilized reaction container, thermostatting the reaction container at a temperature of between 25 and 45° C., and verifying the change in colouring of the analysis reagent. The analysis reagent is an aqueous solution comprising amino acids chosen from the group consisting of meat peptones, vegetable peptones, casein hydrolysates, tryptose, tryptones and yeast extract; glucides chosen from monometric or oligomeric glucides metabolisable by micro-organisms; a buffer system suitable for maintaining the pH between 5.5 and 8.5; a redox indicator with potential between ?250 and +250 mV and/or a pH indicator with colour change interval between pH 4.0 and pH 9.0; and a water-immiscible organic liquid compound having a lower density than water and suitable for separating the aqueous phase from a gaseous phase existing prior to the analysis or formed during the reaction.

  • Patent number: 7074634
Abstract: A surface micromachining process for manufacturing Electro-acoustic transducers, particularly ultrasonic transducers, the transducers comprising a silicon semiconductor substrate (1), on an upper surface of which one or more membranes (18) of resilient materials are supported by a structural layer (11) of insulating material, rigidly connected to the semiconductor substrate (1), the resilient material having a Young's modulus not lower than 50 GPa, the membranes (18) being metallised, the transducers including one or more lower electrodes (23, 25), rigidly connected to the semiconductor substrate. The process is characterised in that the structural layer (11) includes silicon monoxide. The invention further relates to an Electro-acoustic transducer, particularly an ultrasonic transducer, characterised in that the insulating material of the structural layer (11) is silicon monoxide.
