Abstract: Leather is prepared by tanning animal skins with a poly(glycidylamine) such as trigycidyl isocyanurate. After retannage with vegetable tannins, it is possible to obtain both a mineral-free and aldehyde-free white leather having Ts >85° C. and suitable for automotive internal trim and a mineral-free and aldehyde-free high thermal stable organic leather having Ts >100° C. and suitable for shoe production.
