Abstract: A printed electrical connector design includes two flat patterned thermoplastic plates printed with mechanical registration features that align conductive traces on the two plates of the electrical connector. A top plate is printed with a plurality of raised pedestals and a plurality of metallic traces. A bottom plate is printed with a plurality of recessed channels and a corresponding plurality of metallic traces. The plurality of recessed channels of the bottom plate are configured to mate with the plurality of raised pedestals on the top plate. The pedestals and channels of the top and bottom plates, respectively, serve to align the metallic traces that comprise the electrical connector. The printed electrical connector design allows printed electrical/electronic circuits and/or devices to be manufactured and interfaced with other printed electrical/electronic circuits and/or devices.
Abstract: An elastomeric polymer, comprising (1) a hard segment in the amount of 10% to 60% by weight of the elastomeric polymer, wherein the hard segment includes a urethane, urea or urethaneurea; and (2) a soft segment in the amount of 40% to 90% by weight of the elastomeric polymer. The soft segment comprises (a) at least 2% by weight of the soft segment of at least one polyether macrodiol, and/or at least one polycarbonate macrodiol; and (b) at least 2% by weight of the soft segment of at least one polyisobutylene macrodiol and/or diamine.
Abstract: The invention provides halogen-free, bisphenol triazole resins and polymers having exceptional flame retarding properties, related compositions and methods of making and use thereof.
Abstract: An image retrieval method which includes producing multiscale vectors associated with points in a set of database images, indexing the database vectors to produce a database vector index, producing query multiscale vectors associated with points in a query image, and matching the query vectors with the indexed database vectors to identify a database image which is similar to the query image. Each of the database multiscale vectors and the query multiscale vectors includes multiple single scale vectors associated with corresponding spatial scales. The method can include applying a single scale image processing procedure at each of the spatial scales to produce single scale vectors and combining single scale vectors each associate with a given point in an image to form a multiscale vector associated with that point.
