Abstract: A method of inhibiting corrosion of metal during acid stimulation of an oil and gas well is provided. The method includes treating the oil and gas well with an acidic treatment fluid containing an acid, a corrosion inhibitor of formula I, wherein R1 to R5 are hydrogen, and a secondary corrosion inhibitor of formula (II) wherein R1 to R5 are independently hydrogen, an alkyl, an aryl, or an alkoxy, The treatment fluid is substantially free of an intensifier, a surfactant, an organic solvent and a dimeric reaction product obtained by a double condensation reaction between thiocarbohydrazide (H2N—NH—C(S)—NH—NH2) and two cinnamaldehyde compounds.

Abstract: Cement compositions containing a hydraulic cement, a synthetic phyllosilicate (e.g. Laponite®), and silica flour. The cement compositions may optionally include other additives such as an expandable agent, a defoamer, and a fluid loss controller. Cement slurries and wellbore cements made therefrom are also specified. The inclusion of the synthetic phyllosilicate has enhanced the mechanical strength, improved the density homogeneity, as well as decreased the permeability of the wellbore cement, making it suitable for cementing oil and gas wells under high pressure and high temperature (HPHT) conditions.

Abstract: A subsea coiled tubing drilling system and a subsea drilling device thereof are provided. The subsea drilling device includes an underwater derrick, a well head device and a dual-roller coiled tubing device, the dual-roller coiled tubing device includes an injection head, a roller for drilling and a roller for running casing, the injection head is arranged right above the well head device, the roller for drilling and the roller for running casing are distributed on two sides of the injection head; both the drilling coiled tubing and the casing running coiled tubing are capable of respectively penetrating through the injection head and the well head device in sequence. Drilling and casing running operations can be realized on the basis of not moving the underwater derrick or changing the self structure state of the underwater derrick, and operation steps can be simplified, and the work efficiency can be improved.

Abstract: A method of inhibiting carbon dioxide (CO2) hydrate formation in a CO2 pipeline is described. The method includes injecting a composition including monoethylene glycol carbon quantum dots (MEG CQDs) into the CO2 pipeline to deposit the MEG CQDs on an inside surface of the CO2 pipeline. The method further includes pressurizing the CO2 pipeline with a gas stream containing CO2 and water vapor at a pressure of 200-2,000 pounds per square inch (psi). The MEG CQDs are present on the inside surface of the CO2 pipeline in an amount effective to reduce the formation of CO2 hydrates in the CO2 pipeline during the pressurizing in comparison to the formation of the CO2 hydrates in the CO2 pipeline under the same conditions but in the absence of the MEG CQDs.

Abstract: A zinc-based metal organic framework and method of making is described. The zinc-based metal organic framework is in the form of an interpenetrating diamondoid framework where each Zn2+ ion center is linked with four other Zn2+ ion centers in a distorted tetrahedral geometry. Abstract: A search-based heuristic for assigning frequencies to transmitters in a fixed spectrum frequency assignment (FS-FA) telecommunications network in order to satisfy a set of frequency constraints is described. Each connection in a network must have a frequency assigned from the spectrum which satisfies the set of constraints, which specify the frequency separation which is necessary between frequencies assigned to different transmitters. Violation of these constraints creates interference, which must be minimized. The exemplary heuristic has two main components: a local search heuristic and a compound move. The local search heuristic employs one-change moves and a lookup table that classifies all possible one-change moves as positive or negative, which are chosen until a locally minimal solution is found. The compound move operation shifts the local search to a new location in the search space. The local search and compound move are iterated until a total interference cost function is minimized.

Abstract: A hybrid system and a method for hybrid desalination and crystallization of seawater is provided. Abstract: Methods for preventing, inhibiting, or reducing metal (e.g. mild steel) corrosion in aqueous media utilizing a water-soluble formulation having a polyurea pre-dissolved in a polar aprotic solvent are described. The polyurea contains reacted units of a diisocyanate and a diaminoalkane. The effectiveness of the methods is demonstrated by corrosion inhibition efficiency and corrosion rate of metallic substrates in aqueous acidic environments using the water-soluble formulation.

Abstract: The present invention belongs to the technical field of oil well cement preparation, and discloses a long-term high-temperature resistant and toughened well cementing and silica-cement composite material and a preparation method. A solid component comprises cement, alumina, superfine high-purity silica sand, a suspending agent and a toughening material according to weight fractions; the toughening material comprises a latex fiber toughening agent and a nano graphene sheet; and a liquid component is composed of water, nano iron oxide and an oil well cement admixture according to weight fractions. Cement slurry with a ratio of the present invention can achieve compressive strength reaching up to 31 MPa after being cured under a high-temperature and high-pressure environment of 200° C. and 150 MPa for one year; and the gas permeability is controlled below 0.02 mD.

Abstract: The present application provides a pipeline structural fault diagnosis apparatus and a diagnosis method. The pipeline structural fault diagnosis apparatus includes a signal generating apparatus configured to generate an acoustic wave signal by knocking a pipeline; a signal collecting apparatus configured to collect the acoustic wave signal; a signal storage apparatus configured to store the acoustic wave signal for a signal processing and analyzing apparatus to analyze and determine a fault type, a fault degree, and a fault position. The acoustic wave signal after being generated by the signal generating apparatus is collected by the signal collecting apparatus and stored in the signal storage apparatus. The signal processing and analyzing apparatus extracts the acoustic wave signal in the signal storage apparatus, and performs processing and analysis to determine the fault type, the fault degree, and the fault position of the pipeline structure.
