    Abstract: A magnetic-induced stiffness changed soft robot drive module includes magnetic-induced stiffness changed layer, two-degree-of-freedom pneumatic driver, magnetic core and sealing fixing device. The magnetic-induced stiffness changed layer and two-degree-of-freedom pneumatic driver are printed and formed. The magnetic core can be deformed together with the driver, and a magnetic field can be generated when it is energized. After the magnetic core is installed into the two-degree-of-freedom pneumatic driver, then assembled with the sealing fixing device, a soft robot drive module with one end fixed is finished. The magnetic-induced stiffness changed layer has the fast, reversible and controllable stiffness adjustment ability under the action of electromagnetic field.

    Abstract: Under conventional techniques, wastewater treatment has many problems such as poor production conditions, serious random interference, strong nonlinear behavior, large time-varying, and serious lagging. These problems cause difficulty in detecting wastewater treatment parameters such as biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) values that are used to monitor water quality. To solve problems associated with monitoring BOD values in real-time, the present disclosure utilizes a self-organizing recurrent RBF neural network designed for intelligent detecting of BOD values. Implementations of the present disclosure build a computing model of BOD values based on the self-organizing recurrent RBF neural network to achieve real-time and more accurate detection of the BOD values (e.g., a BOD concentration). The implementations herein quickly and accurately obtain BOD concentrations and improve the quality and efficiency of wastewater treatment.

The device can be installed on various industrial platforms. The motor drives the planetary gear to rotate, and then drives the eccentric shaft to rotate. The first bearing hole of the cycloidal gear fits with the needle bearing and forms a revolute pair with the eccentric shaft. Owning to the eccentric shaft, the cycloidal gears (12 and 12?) are driven to swing. The other bearing hole fits with the sliding shaft (3 and 3?) and the connecting shaft (4 and 4?) to form a loaded rolling friction pair.

A calibration algorithm is used to solve the positional relationship between binocular cameras, and the prior information is used to solve a homography matrix between images; internal parameters and external parameters of the cameras are used to perform camera coordinate system transformation of depth images; the graph cut algorithm has high time complexity and depends on the number of nodes in a graph; the present invention divides the images into layers, and solutions are obtained layer by layer and iterated; then the homography matrix is used to perform image coordinate system transformation of the depth images, and a stitching seam is synthesized to realize seamless panoramic depth image stitching; and finally, depth information of a disparity image is superimposed on a visible light image.

    Abstract: A controllable rotary brake includes two non-magnetically permeable isolating rings, a shaft, an even number of magnetic field generating portions, at least one resistance disc, and at least one magneto-rheological fluid layer. The non-magnetically permeable isolating rings are spaced apart from each other in an axial direction, and each has a bottom wall. An even number of penetrating holes are formed on the bottom wall. The shaft is rotatably inserted in and adapted to pivot relative to the non-magnetically permeable isolating rings. Two ends of each magnetic field generating portion are tightly fitted to the corresponding penetrating holes. The resistance disc is sleeved on the shaft and is spaced apart from one of the non-magnetically permeable isolating rings.     Abstract: A device for obtaining water from air on an island includes: a concentrated solution air water obtaining system, a solar collector, a dilute solution dehydration system, a heat pump system, a solution heating system, and a water purification system. Humid air is introduced into the concentrated solution air water obtaining system, which performs a heat and mass transfer into a dilute solution and relatively low-temperature dry air. This air is used as interior fresh air. The diluted solution is heated by the solar collector, delivered to the dilute solution dehydration system, and sent to the solution heating system for heating and evaporating into water vapor. The water purification system cools, purifies, filters and stores the water vapor. At the same time, the heat pump system introduces heated humid air into the dilute solution dehydration system to recover heat contained in the heated humid air, and to extract water.

The measurement mechanism includes a first optical fiber, and an end surface of the first optical fiber is disposed opposite to the first reflective film. During an earthquake generating process, a landform changes and the pendulum swings, resulting in changes in displacement. The end surface of the first optical fiber together with the first reflective film form a Fabry-Perot cavity. The cavity length of the Fabry-Perot cavity changes before and after the landform deforms, and an angle of inclination is equal to a value obtained by dividing the cavity length variation of the Fabry-Perot cavity by the pendulum length.

    Abstract: Methods and catalysts for producing benzyl alcohol and homologues thereof from short-chain alcohols by catalytic conversion are disclosed. The methods and catalysts develop a new route for benzyl alcohols and ethyl benzyl alcohols production through cross coupling-aromatization reaction using short-chain alcohols as reactants and provide corresponding catalysts required for the above catalytic reaction. It is emphasized on a single bed catalyst to produce benzyl alcohol and its homologues in one step, and is expected to become an important alternative route for the production of benzyl alcohol and its homologues. A route and corresponding catalysts for directly producing benzyl alcohol and ethyl benzyl alcohol through coupling-aromatization reaction starting from low carbon alcohols are provided. The selectivity of the benzyl alcohol is up to 35%, and the total selectivity of the ethyl benzyl alcohol is up to 11%.
