  • Publication number: 20100197765
Abstract: A method for promoting expression of p53 mRNA and an expression promoting agent for use in the method are provided. The expression of the p53 gene can be promoted by inhibiting the binding between RNA transcribed from exon 1 of the vegf-A gene and mRNA transcribed from the p53 gene. The inhibition of the binding can be achieved by, for example, degrading the RNA transcribed from the exon 1 of the vegf-A gene, inhibiting transcription of RNA from the exon 1 of the vegf-A gene, or binding a nucleic acid that is different from the mRNA transcribed from the p53 gene to the RNA transcribed from the exon 1 of the vegf-A gene.

  • Publication number: 20100183202
Abstract: To provide a brain-image diagnosis supporting method or the like. The method is a statistical evaluation method excluding the subjective judgment of an examiner, and enables image diagnosis. The method can present stable judgment criteria with respect to data on brain images imaged by a predetermined method in order to discriminate difficult diseases to diagnose. The method is also effective with respect to relationships which can not be always explained with a simple linear relationship, for example, the relationship between data on brain images imaged by a predetermined method and a disease which is a variable. By applying a predetermined nonlinear multivariate analysis method to data on brain images of a plurality of examinees imaged by a predetermined method and by classifying the data, image diagnosis support using a computer performed with respect to the data on brain images is performed. For example, SOM method is applied as a predetermined nonlinear multivariate analysis method.

Abstract: An Nb3Sn wire rod having a high Jc value is manufactured using an Ag—Sn alloy. A composite rod including a plurality of Nb core materials incorporated in an Ag—Sn alloy matrix material having an Sn concentration of 9.35 to 22.85 at % is prepared. Next, the composite rod is extruded and/or wire drawn while carrying out process annealing of 350 to 490° C., followed by heat treatment at 500 to 900° C. to produce an Nb3Sn filament. Thus, an Nb3Sn extrafine multi-core superconducting wire is manufactured.

  • Patent number: 7479921
Abstract: A transmission unit emits an electromagnetic wave having the same frequency f as an output signal from a sending unit in a direction of a measurement axis. A detecting unit performs synchronous detection on a reflected wave detected by a directional coupler by an in-phase signal and a quadrature signal of the transmission signal, and by extracting DC component from the detection signal, detects the in-phase component and quadrature component of the reflected wave. An analysis signal generating unit mixes the in-phase component and quadrature component of the reflected wave and signals having periodicity corresponding to a prescribed distance, and using only one of the resulting side bands, generates an analysis signal. Fourier transform unit finds distance to the object of measurement from a profile obtained by Fourier transform of the analysis signal.
