Abstract: A method for determining a sheet resistance of a sample (1) by using point probes. The method includes: (a) positioning (101) five point probes (2a, 2b, 2c, 2d, 2e) on the sample (1) at selected positions which are distanced from an edge of the sample (1): (b) connecting (102) the five point probes (2a, 2b, 2c, 2d, 2e) in five configurations wherein each configuration comprises a different set of four point probes (abcd, bcde, cdea, deab, eabc) and measuring (103) a resistance (r1=rabcd, r2=rbcde, r3=rcdea, r4=rdeab, r5=reabc) between the four point probes for each configuration; (c) determining (104) the sheet resistance (?0).

Abstract: A recording medium comprising a dielectric magnetic layer, the dielectric magnetic layer comprising anisotropic ions having a difference in a single ion contribution to magnetic anisotropy (?K/ion) between a ground state and an excited state of said anisotropic ions equal to at least 0.1 cm?1 (0.0124 meV/ion) at 20° C. Abstract: This invention relates to novel saponin compounds of formula II wherein MBz denotes p-methoxybenzoyl, and R is selected from the group comprising C6-10 aryl, C6-10 aryl-C1-4 alkyl-, C1-18 alkanoyl, C3-18 alkenyl, C6-10 aryl-C(O)—, C6-10 aryl-C1-4 alkyl-C(O)—, wherein each of the groups can optionally be substituted. These compounds possess a selective cytostatic activity, useful, e.g., in the treatment of proliferative diseases. The invention further relates to methods of preparation of the novel compounds and to a pharmaceutical composition containing these compounds.
