Patent number: 7017058Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus and method for controlling power and clock speed of an electronic system. The present invention detects a voltage signal and a current signal as the electronic system is operating, and obtains a power value. The present invention decides whether the power value is greater than a predetermined power value. When the power value is greater than the predetermined power value, the clock speed of the electronic system is throttled in accordance with an on-off rate.Type: GrantFiled: September 16, 2002Date of Patent: March 21, 2006Assignee: Uniwill Computer CorporationInventor: Yu Chen

Patent number: 6937205Abstract: The present invention reveals an integral structure including an antenna and a shielding cover as well as its wireless module. The integral structure including an antenna and a shielding cover comprises an antenna, a shielding cover, a first conducting plate and a second conducting plate, where the antenna is used for signal transmitting and receiving, and the shielding cover can avoid electromagnetic interferences to a wireless product. The first conducting plate connects the antenna and the shielding cover. One end of the second conducting plate is connected to the feed-in point of the antenna, and the other end of that is electrically connected to a circuitry of a wireless product for signal transferring. Besides being directly installed in the wireless product, the integral structure including an antenna and a shielding cover can be equipped with a printed circuit board and a plug as a module first, and then the module can be connected to an interface of the wireless product for signal transferring.Type: GrantFiled: April 11, 2003Date of Patent: August 30, 2005Assignee: Uniwill Computer CorporationInventors: Chen-Wang Chou, Yu-Shih Wang

Patent number: 6862177Abstract: A vibration-reducing system for use with a data processing apparatus is provided. The data processing apparatus includes a data access apparatus. The vibration-reducing system includes at least one first elastic element and at least one second elastic element, and the elastic modulus of the second elastic element is smaller than the elastic modulus of the first elastic element. The first elastic element connects the data access apparatus to the data processing apparatus, and the second elastic element is disposed between the data processing apparatus and the data access apparatus. A part of impact energy is removed from the data access apparatus by using the difference between the elastic modulus of the first and the second elastic elements.Type: GrantFiled: July 11, 2003Date of Patent: March 1, 2005Assignee: Uniwill Computer CorporationInventor: Chen-Wang Chou

Patent number: 6654243Abstract: The present invention provides a heat dissipation apparatus for a notebook computer with a low flow resistance design. The notebook computer has a CPU, a heat dissipation apparatus, an air inlet, and an air outlet. The heat dissipation apparatus includes a heat sink, at least a fan, a conduction block, and a heat pipe. The heat sink is used to transmit heat. The conduction block is closely contacted to an upper surface of the CPU in the notebook computer for absorbing the heat from CPU. The heat pipe is connected to the conduction block and the heat sink. The heat pipe is configured for transmitting heat in the conduction block to the heat sink. Then, the heat transferred to the heat sink is carried away by air flow generated by the fan. In the invention, the air flow directions passing through the air inlet and the air outlet are parallel to each other. The air flow resistance is substantially reduced to accelerate the heat dissipation.Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 2001Date of Patent: November 25, 2003Assignee: Uniwill Computer CorporationInventor: Young-Kwang Sheu
