Abstract: Disclosed is a system and several associated methods providing a decentralized fair data marketplace wherein said system keeps time-sensitive (real-time) and location-based data. The system includes a decentralized blockchain for recording participants' registrations, storing transactions such as data production, and sell/buy activities, and ensuring authenticity and privacy of transferred data. Data is gathered through crowdsourcing (data pooling) and data generators are rewarded for willingly contributing datapoints using a dynamic pricing engine designed specifically for time-sensitive location-based datapoints. The set of novelties put together in this invention aims at stimulating a fair and participative data economy where individual contributions, valuation and reward sharing processes are conducted transparently, securely and in a tamperproof manner through use of blockchain, leading to an incentivized and quality data curation.

Abstract: Clusters of locations on a geographic grid are mapped into human-friendly domain names wherein the location hierarchy is represented by a subdomain hierarchy. The resolver of the so-called location domain name service (LDNS) maps the domain name to a unique identifier of the cluster that is used as a pointer to a plurality of geohashes that are highly compressed according to a method of the present invention. Each cluster's domain name is associated with location-based static and temporal data that represent some aspect of the corresponding location including location-associated crypto economy components. An embodiment of the system of the present invention LDNS implemented on a blockchain system. Furthermore, location-oriented top-level domain categories, that enable quick data searching, are created with templatized smart contracts. Mapping a list that has long alphanumeric strings to a unique human-friendly domain name further allows definition of ownership rights for the corresponding location data.

Abstract: The indoors and outdoors are mapped into a grid comprised of cells using geohashing, wherein buildings, solid structures, and walkways are separately rendered and incorporated into the digital computer implementation, the size of each cell being indicative of the physical dimensions. Each cell has associated location-based static and temporal data that represent some aspect of the corresponding real-life representation of the cell, resulting in large amount of well-structured and useful data. A key method of this invention is an adaptation of fast pathfinding using cell-based vector field algorithm that is used in interactive computer gaming in virtual environments.
