  • Patent number: 7517264
Abstract: A boat drive system is provided for a power boat which includes an engine having a drive shaft, connected to a pair of propeller shafts. The drive system includes a primary gearbox and opposed outboard gearboxes. The primary gearbox includes a housing and a gear arrangement connected to the engine shaft and the outboard gearboxes, which are connected to the primary gearbox by a transverse shaft, include a housing and a gear arrangement connected to associated propeller shafts. A cooling system is provided including a cooling pad for each gearbox. A support system is provided for each outboard gearbox including a cradle connected to the bearing points on the hull. The engine includes an adapter plate attached to the primary gearbox for movement of the primary gearbox with the engine. In a modified drive system only one outboard gearbox is used in conjunction with a single engine. In another modified drive system a single engine and propeller are used in conjunction with a gearbox having a take-off shaft.

  • Patent number: 7320811
Abstract: A system is provided for touching up a chipped and scratched painted surface by applying a solvent solution to the surface, applying a selected touch-up paint, and removing a portion of the applied touch-up paint from the painted surface. The removing step includes applying a wax and solvent mixture (e.g., about 40% wax and about 60% naphtha) and then removing a residue of wax and paint by substantially immediately wiping the painted surface with a cloth. The solvent solution may include naphtha. The touch-up paint may have a tone substantially the same as the tone of the painted surface and is slightly darker than the painted surface.

  • Patent number: 4947450
Abstract: Apparatus for reading optically a scene made up of symbols on a transparent medium comprises a transparent flat plate on which the scene is supported. An illumination system on one side of this plate illuminates at least part of the scene. An optical reader device on the opposite side of the plate incorporates an optical sensor. A pneumatic skid is moved over the opposite side of the plate and has a recess in its surface facing the plate in which the sensor is accommodated. Thus the scene is scanned by the sensor as the skid is moved over the plate.
