  • Patent number: 11583946
Abstract: A machine reaming tool includes a base body with a plurality of insert receivers with cutting inserts that are inserted therein. The cutting inserts are inserted into insert receivers that each form a linear guide of the cutting inserts in a direction orthogonal to a rotation axis of the machine reaming tool. The linear guide is a prismatic sliding guide such as a dovetail guide. In particular, the dovetail guide is designed asymmetrically.

  • Patent number: 7748934
Abstract: A machine reaming tool includes a reaming head or interchangeable head (1) and a shaft (2), wherein the interchangeable head (1) is of one piece and may be exchanged, and in an axial direction and at each location, thus including means for the exchange adaptation, is thinner than a maximal thickness hmax, wherein this maximal thickness hmax is computed in millimeters from a diameter D1 of the interchangeable head in millimeters as hmax=6 mm+(1/10)·(D1?12 mm). On account of this, a guide portion (18) for cutters of the reaming head (1) becomes very much shorter than usual, but despite this ensures an adequate quality of machining. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the interchangeable head (1) in a plane shaft-side end-face (15) comprises cutout (11) for the centering fastening on the shaft (2).

  • Patent number: 4629374
Abstract: A boring tool has a radially adjustable tool bit holder mounted on a head part connectable to an adaptor. A threaded stud for the connection between the head part and the adaptor has a thread arranged in each half, the two threads having different pitches or leads. An adjusting tool for the boring tool has a seat which mates with the threaded stud for rotating the stud relative to the thread arranged on the head part. The tool is marked with a scale in accordance with the formulaS=SG2/SG1 (scale factor)in which SG1 is the lead of one thread G1 on the threaded stud and SG2 is the lead of the other thread G2 on the threaded stud.

  • Patent number: 4595320
Abstract: The head of this boring tool carries two bit holders, which can be radially adjusted to different cutting widths by tooth systems provided on sloping faces of the head and/or bit holder. To ensure that there is still reciprocal supporting of the bit holders even in the outermost adjustment range thereof, cams are provided for extending the supporting surfaces. As an alternative to or in addition to this measure, the spacing between the front end face of the head and the surface of the bit holder parallel thereto is made so small that when high cutting forces occur these surfaces are supported on one another before the elastic deformation range of the bit holders is exceeded.
