    Abstract: A system and method for controlling a wrapping process of a round bale is disclosed. The round bale rotates in a bale chamber of a round baler with elastic wrapping material being removed from a supply roller using a tensioning device and guided during the wrapping process by at least one guide roller. The round bale is wrapped with the wrapping material pretensioned by the tensioning device with an adjustable wrapping tension predetermined by the control unit. A sensor assembly may sense the actual value for a force resulting from the wrapping tension, which is compared with a target value for the force resulting from the wrapping tension, which is determined during the performance of at least one preceding wrapping operation and specific to the wrapping material. The control unit controls the tensioning device depending on the deviation determined by the comparison of the actual value and the target value.

    Abstract: A block baling press has a bale chamber and a baling ram moveable in the bale chamber in an oscillating manner to compress bale material. An end face of the baling ram facing the bale material is divided into ram segments separated from one another by needle slots. At least a first needle slot is flanked by ram segments with a profiling transverse to the first needle slot. The profiling brings about a weaker compression of the bale material in an edge region of the ram segments adjacent to the first needle slot than in a region of the ram segments spaced apart from the first needle slot. Bales are obtained in which zones of high compression and low compression alternate across the width of the bale chamber. The bales are held together by twine placed around the zones having low compression.

    Abstract: An agricultural round baler has an interior space enclosed by a housing, a feeding device, a plurality of guide rollers, a press belt and an adjusting device with at least one adjusting roller. At least one of the guide rollers is a drive roller that drives the press belt. The press belt defines a press chamber which interacts with the transfer cross section. The adjusting roller is positioned along the running track of the press belt so that at least one running track section at least partly delimits the press chamber. The adjusting roller is moveable within the interior space so that at least one part of the running track of the press belt is moveable. A second adjusting device is operationally combined with the first adjusting device to define the press chamber. The adjusting roller of the second adjusting device is moveable within the interior space.
