    Abstract: Process for detecting defects during continuous casting between rolls where, during casting, a signal depending on the rolls separating force (RSF) is measured, the signal being separated into various harmonic components, the result of the comparison of the harmonic components thus obtained with reference harmonics being representative of a defective status of the rolls, this defective status of the rolls enabling various rules to be defined for the execution of the process.
