Abstract: A cloud-based service is provided for sharing information about an event and obtaining tickets for the event by a user. The server is associated with a social network to identify friends of the user on said network. A user is provided information about an event together with information on whether any friends from the social network are attending the event. The user can select to attend the event on his own, or to attend the event and get tickets near his friends. Conversely, a user can buy or block a number of tickets for the event and then share the tickets with his friends.
