Patents Assigned to V-Mark Automation Ltd.
  • Patent number: 4046616
Abstract: The invention relates to an automatic assembly apparatus for assembling devices from a plurality of parts. The apparatus uses both continuous motion, for assembly, and reciprocal motion, for processing. The apparatus includes a sub-assembly station for assembling sub-assemblies from at least two of the parts and a processing station for processing a third one of the parts. The sub-assemblies and the processed parts are then brought to a main assembly station where they are assembled with the remaining of the parts to form an assembled device. In the embodiment illustrated, the apparatus is used to assemble syringes. At the processing station, the syringe barrels are cleansed and lubricated, and at the sub-assembly station the plunger tips are mounted on the plungers. The sub-assembly and the processed barrels are then brought to a main assembly station where they are assembled with needle arrangements to form an assembled syringe.

  • Patent number: 3975227
Abstract: This invention relates to an assembly for applying labels to the longitudinal surface of cylindrical articles. The assembly includes a label dispenser which carries the labels to a label station and dispenses them, one at a time, at the labelling station. The labels are carried on a backing tape and are slid off the tape at the labelling station. The assembly also includes means for advancing the articles to the labelling station, for example, a walking beam, and means for supporting the article at the labelling station so that it is free to rotate about its longitudinal axis. A cylindrical roller is disposed in a two position parallel arrangement with an article at the labelling station such that, in one position, the roller is spaced from the article and, in a second position, the roller is in physical contact with the article along a longitudinal contact line. Means are provided for moving the roller to its two positions, and further means are provided for rotating the roller about its longitudinal axis.

  • Patent number: 3959870
Abstract: The invention relates to a continuous motion assembly apparatus for assembling multipart devices, such as ball point pens, lipstick cases, syringes, etc., said multipart devices comprising a main part and at least one further part. Present automatic assembly apparatus for such devices require that the apparatus be stopped for each assembly operation. This start and stop motion limits the speed, and thus the production rate, of the apparatus. In accordance with the instant invention, the assembly apparatus is performed in a continuous motion. An apparatus in accordance with the invention comprises: a first conveyor to bring the main parts, one at a time, to an assembly station. A second conveyor brings a further part to the assembly station, and means are provided at the assembly station to mount the further part on the main part by a continuously variable amount. The means can comprise a rod and carrier arrangement acting in conjunction with a cam which forces the rod in a desired direction.
