Abstract: A combination vehicle (10) for cleaning a sewer includes a water jetting system (12) with a frame (34) mounted to a first end (38) of the vehicle (10) and horizontally spanning substantially the width thereof, and a slide carriage (36) operatively engaged with the frame (34) and slideable therealong. A hose reel frame (28) pivotally connects to the slide carriage (36) and is pivotal about a vertical axis, and supports a hose reel (30) that is rotatable about a horizontal axis and configured to support a hose (32). The hose (32) operatively connects to a water jetting source (46) to supply pressurized water for use in cleaning the sewer. A controller (44) operatively connects to the hose reel frame (28) and is operable to move the slide carriage (36) along the frame (34), and also to pivot the hose reel frame (28) relative to the vertical axis, thereby to enhance safety and maneuverability in locating the hose (32) in a desired position for cleaning a sewer.
Abstract: A material return system of a material collection system and appertaining method permits fine material collected in a fine material collector to be returned to a main debris tank by taking advantage of the venturi effect, thus permitting a relatively trouble-free operation of the material collection system.
Abstract: A truck debris collection container mounting apparatus comprising a truck frame, a support frame moveably mounted to the truck frame, a debris collection container pivotally mounted to the support frame, a lifting device to vertically and horizontally move the support frame relative to the truck frame, and a device to rearwardly tilt the debris collection container. The support frame is movably attached to the truck frame via a plurality of extendable lifts and support links, which allows the debris collection container to be lifted up and rearward from the truck frame.
