    Abstract: Novel antibodies directed against Dual Ig domain containing cell adhesion molecule (DICAM) are described. These anti-DICAM antibodies are capable of detecting DICAM by Western blot and/or flow cytometry, blocking the interaction between DICAM and its ligand ?V?3 integrin, and/or blocking the migration of inflammatory cytokine-secreting TH17 lymphocytes across the blood brain barrier. Uses of these antibodies or compositions comprising same for the diagnosis, prevention and/or treatment of autoimmune/inflammatory conditions, such as neuroinflammatory conditions, and for the targeting, identification and selection of inflammatory cytokine-secreting TH17 lymphocytes or precursor thereof are also disclosed.

A controller instructs the magnetic field gradient generator to acquire image data of the magnetically-saturated body within the subject and to apply a calculated magnetic gradient that will propel the magnetically-saturated body towards a target location in the subject. A tracking unit of the MRI provides position feedback information of the magnetically-saturated body within the subject.

The method thereby allows to estimate the boundaries of the layers of the multi-layered vessel by propagating the initial interfaces using a fast marching model based on a probability function which describes at least one characteristic of the image elements.
