Abstract: A security note may include a first transparent substrate having an area that defines boundaries of the security note. The note may include a first base layer deposited on the first transparent substrate. The note may include a second base layer deposited on the first base layer. The note may include a second transparent substrate formed on the second base layer. One or more security features may be provided between the first base layer and the second base layer. One or both of the first base layer and the second base layer may define an opening within the area of the first transparent surface such that at least one of the one or more security features is visible via the opening.
