  • Patent number: 9404595
Abstract: The invention relates to a fluid circulation valve comprising a body (2) through which said fluid can pass, and a first and second shutoff means (3, 3?), arranged in series, in the direction of flow of the fluid, in said body and each able, by rotation of said means (3, 3?) with respect to said body (2) to occupy various angular positions, said valve further comprising a drive train allowing said shutoff means (3, 3?) to be driven off one and the same actuating motor, said valve being configured to: —over a first angular range of said first shutoff means (3) allow said fluid to be metered in a first outlet port (40) of said valve, said second shutoff means (3?) being in a position in which said first port (40) is wide open, —over a second angular range of said first shutoff means (3) allow said fluid to be metered in a second outlet port (42) of said valve, said second shutoff means (3?) being in a second position in which said second port (40) is wide open.

  • Patent number: 9231464
Abstract: A method is disclosed for reducing the common mode current flowing between the internal ground of an electrical circuit in an automotive vehicle, and the earth, when electric power is exchanged between an electric power storage unit of the electrical circuit and an electric power source external to the circuit. An electronic component is used to apply an electrical quantity as a function of the common mode current to an injection point in the circuit in order to reduce the common mode current. The value of the common mode current is obtained using a measuring device having a magnetic torus configured to be traversed by an electric line by which the electric power is exchanged, the electric line forming a primary winding, a secondary winding, wound about said torus for generating a magnetic flux on the basis of a reference current, and an oscillator for generating the reference current through the secondary winding.

  • Patent number: 8720422
Abstract: The invention relates to an internal combustion heat engine, with at least one combustion chamber for intake gases comprising a mixture consisting of a fuel such as petrol and an oxidizer such as air, connected to an intake circuit (A) for the intake of said intake gases into the chamber and an exhaust circuit (B) for the exhaust of the burnt gases outside the chamber, an exhaust gas recirculation circuit (C, D) connecting the exhaust circuit to the intake circuit, and a control system for the exhaust gas recirculation. The control system is arranged so that the exhaust gas recirculation is implemented for at least one operation point defined by an engine speed and a torque output by the engine, for which the output torque is higher than 50% of the maximum engine torque. The invention can be used for operating the engine with optimal stoichiometric mixture and ignition advance without the occurrence of rattling.

  • Patent number: 8680825
Abstract: A DC-DC voltage converter operating in zero-voltage switching mode with a switching threshold includes a plurality of interlaced cells, each cell having at least two controlled switches that are configured to be alternately closed and open, and each cell having an inductor in which an output current from the cell flows. The converter also includes a clock with a given switching period configured for triggering the switching of the switches between upper and lower control thresholds. A method for closed-loop control of the converter includes measuring, for each cell, an overrun period, determining a correction time corresponding to a minimum overrun period measured for the plurality of cells during an interlacing cycle, calculating an optimized switching period for the clock, and applying the optimized switching period to the clock to provide closed-loop control of the interlacing of the output currents from the plurality of cells of the converter.

  • Patent number: 8169284
Abstract: The invention relates to an electromagnetic actuator including an actuating member associated with an armature and able to move under the action of at least one electromagnet, a coil, and a core suitable for channeling a flux of the coil so that the flux closes within the armature, where the core includes a base from which branches extend, including a central branch around which the coil extends, and two permanent magnets which are associated with the core. The two permanent magnets are placed in the central branch of the core in order to form a V, which separates the central branch into two parts so that any section of the core or the armature through which the flux from one or the other of the permanent magnets can pass, has an area large enough to prevent saturation by this flux.
