Abstract: A hub system having a lubrication chamber including an outer bearing shoulder and an inner bearing shoulder. The hub has an outer end surface and an inner end surface. The hub includes a counterbore that extends inwardly from the outer end surface. The counterbore has a retention groove located therein between the outer end surface and the outer bearing shoulder. A retainer is held within the retention groove. The retainer has a base with an annular perimeter and has a plurality of fingers that extend inwardly of the annular perimeter. A bearing cap having an outer diameter is insertable into the counterbore. A release ring is held adjacent to the retainer. The release ring is shiftable from a first position adjacent to the fingers and a second position where the fingers are displaced from their location when the release ring is in its first position.

  • Publication number: 20250256538
Abstract: A first assembly that has a non-conductive housing including a face plate that has an outer surface. A first socket extends behind the outer surface of the face plate and it has a plurality of terminals. The first assembly has a second socket with a terminal block. The terminal block has a sidewall that surrounds a plurality of terminal pins. The sidewall extends outward of the surface of the face plate in a direction opposite to that of the first socket. The terminal block is surrounded by a terminal block channel. The outer sidewall first telescopically contacts the sidewall of the terminal block then upon further sliding of the first and second assemblies beyond the first contact causes sliding contact of the outer sidewall between the sidewall of the terminal block and the second socket sidewall. After that and upon further sliding an electrical connection is made.

  • Publication number: 20250162557
Abstract: A system for electrically controlling air brakes on a trailer having an electrically actuated valve for releasing pressurized air at a controlled rate. The trailer is connectable to a standard electrical connector on a towing vehicle that provides a proportional braking signal. The proportional signal is sent to a controller that actuates the electrically actuated valve. When the controller receives the proportional braking signal from the towing vehicle representing no braking force, the controller actuates the electrically actuated valve to produce no air pressure to the air brake. When the controller receives the proportional braking signal from the towing vehicle representing full braking force, the controller actuates the electrically actuated valve to provide air to the air brake corresponding to full braking force of the air brakes.

Abstract: An electrically controlled valve for electrically controlling air brakes by releasing pressurized air at a controlled rate. The electrically controlled valve is useful for connecting a trailer with air brakes to a standard electrical connector on a towing vehicle that provides a proportional braking signal. The proportional signal is sent to the electrically actuated valve and a controller within the valve process the signal. When electrically actuated valve receives the proportional braking signal from the towing vehicle representing no braking force, electrically actuated valve to produce no air pressure to the air brake. When the electrically actuated valve receives the proportional braking signal from the towing vehicle representing full braking force, the electrically actuated valve provides air to the air brakes corresponding to full braking force of the air brakes.

  • Publication number: 20250121628
Abstract: A vent plug having a main vent aperture that extends from an inner side into the plug and connects to a transverse vent passage that intersects the main vent aperture. The main vent aperture and the transverse vent passage are connected to provide a continuous path for fluid communication. The main vent aperture includes a conical surface that is tapered to be narrower nearer the inner side of the vent plug. A poppet is located within the main vent passage and the poppet has a stem that extends from a distal portion of the poppet. The stem has a shoulder that is opposite the distal portion. The distal portion is adjacent to the conical portion of the main vent aperture. The distal portion has an annular recess for receiving a seal. The poppet is movable between an open and closed position.
