Abstract: A connecting member for connecting a plurality of frame elements. The connecting member has a core section having a width and two supporting members for supporting frame elements extending in different directions from the connecting member. The connecting member has at least one additional member for supporting a further frame element. The or each additional supporting member is pivotally connected to the core section and moveable between a first position in which the additional supporting member lies within the width of the core section and a second position in which a frame element supported by the additional support will extend in a direction generally perpendicular to a frame element supported by a supporting element of the core section.

Abstract: A process for recovering metals such as Ni, Co, Mn, Cu, Zn, among others, through precipitation as sulphides, enabling recovery of magnesium in the form of hydroxide, carbonate and oxide and providing recovery of sulphate as gypsum and ammonium sulphate. Abstract: A process for producing a purified nickel hydroxide precipitate from a nickel-containing leach solution with impurities including one or more of the following: manganese, copper, zinc, iron and/or cobalt, so that the purified nickel hydroxide is suitable for pelletization with iron-containing ores and/or stainless steel production, includes treating the leach solution with a base to form a slurry of mixed hydroxide precipitate and low-nickel barren solution, thickening the slurry to form filter cake, washing the filter cake and contacting it with acid to dissolve nickel and other metals to produce a concentrated nickel-containing solution, subjecting the concentrated nickel-containing solution to solvent extraction with an organic acid extractant to remove metals other than nickel from the nickel-containing solution and form a solvent extraction raffinate of purified nickel solution and treating the solvent extraction raffinate with a base to precipitate the purified nickel hydroxide precipitate.
Abstract: A hydrometallurgical resin-in-leach (RIL) process for directly recovering nickel and/or cobalt. Simultaneous pulp leaching by adding an acid or base, dissolves the metals of interest with adsorption of the metals rendered soluble in on ionic exchange resin. Following elution of the changed resin, purification of nickel and cobalt present in the eluate can be recovered by conventional methods, such as precipitation, extraction by solvents and membranes. The regenerated resin is recirculated for further use.
Abstract: The present invention refers to a hydro-metallurgical process using resin-in-neutralized-solution in heap leaching effluent. More specifically, the process is applicable to lateritic ore, nickel oxidate, cobalt oxidate or a mixture containing metals of interest—nickel, cobalt and other secondary metals, wherein ore is leached by adding an acid or a base with possible pH adjustment, aided by acid or base with neutralization of heap leaching effluent, by adding lime, limestone, soda or ammonia in the temperature of 70° to 95° C.
Abstract: The present invention is related to a hydrometallurgical process to produce nickel as hydroxide, oxide or cathode and produce cobalt preferably as sulfides. The present invention is particularly adequate to process eluate containing nickel and cobalt. Eluates are solutions obtained from elution of ionic exchange resins, loaded (charged) in the RIP (resin-in-pulp) process of ionic exchange, to recover nickel and cobalt from effluent pulps in acid leaching. Following nickel and cobalt recovery in a RIP circuit, they are separated from each other via a continuous ionic exchange process, after which the nickel eluate is formed to produce nickel as nickel oxide by a pyrohydrolysis process.
Abstract: THE COMBINED LEACHING PROCESS comprises a dissolution process of the soluble constituents of an ore by means of the combined execution of two or more serial leaching phases with the first phase comprising atmospheric leaching (AL) and the second one pressure leaching (HPAL). This combined process takes place when the intermediate size fraction (0.075-0.5 mm) is submitted to atmospheric leaching (AL), ensuing an effluent with a high concentration of dissolved iron and aluminum as well as high residual acidity. This said effluent is fed in the following acid pressure leaching (HPAL) phase of the fine size fraction (<0.075 mm) and at reusing free acidity, regenerating the sulfuric acid through iron and aluminum precipitation in a hydrolysis reaction, and bringing forth a considerable reduction in the addition of sulfuric acid.

Abstract: A compression system for a dual material delivery assembly for mounting on a frame alongside a plurality of similar assemblies is described. The assembly includes a furrowing knife for producing a furrow in the ground as it is towed across the ground. A fertilizer tube is mounted behind the furrowing knife. A seed dispensing tube provided is for depositing seed in the furrow behind the fertilizer knife offset to one side and above the fertilizer. A packer wheel is attached to the seed tube assembly. The fertilizer knife and the seed tube assembly are separately mounted on a bracket attached to the implement frame for pivotal movement about a common pivot Two separate cylinders are provided to apply a separate force on the furrowing element and the packer wheel. The cylinders of each of the assemblies are commonly connected for common adjustment on the frame or on the go on a tractor towing the frame.

Abstract: A tube connecting device comprises a housing, a socket formed in the housing for receipt of a pipe to be releasably secured therein and a securing arm pivotally mounted to the housing. The securing arm is pivotable from a first, locked position in which a portion of the arm projects through an associated aperture in the wall of the socket to engage a complementarily-shaped portion of the pipe to be retained, to a second unlocked position in which the projecting portion of the securing arm is withdrawn from the socket. Abstract: A process for the production of titanium concentrates from anatase ores with high utilization of the iron contents of the raw ore involving the steps of calcining mechanically treated ore in the presence of an alkali metal carbonate followed by dilute leachings in both alkaline and acid media. No reducing agents are employed during calcination, avoiding the iron contents of the ore to be solubilized in the leaching steps. The final concentrate, which is rich in titanium and iron and has a low content of impurities, can be used as a raw material for the production of titanium slag.
