Abstract: A method of projecting an image includes emitting a light beam, forming an image from the light beam, and attenuating the light beam by controlling an AC signal between two voltage levels. The image is formed by projecting image frames. The switching of the AC signal from one voltage level to the other is controlled between projections of the image frames.
Abstract: The invention notably relates to a light-emitting module of a terrestrial vehicle having at least one semiconductor light source including a mostly semiconductor material substrate, the substrate having a first face and a second face. The light source further includes electroluminescent elements with submillimeter dimensions extending from the first face of the substrate, and at least one heatsink cooperating with the second face of the substrate to evacuate the heat produced by the light source. The invention therefore offers an improved light-emitting module for terrestrial vehicles.

The lighting panel includes an optical fiber layer having a plurality of optical fibers each configured to emit the light along a length of the optical fiber. The plurality of optical fibers are arranged in a predetermined form such that the optical fiber layer has a first side facing the light emitting side of the lighting panel and a second side facing the light reflecting side of the lighting panel. A reflecting layer is provided on the second side of the optical fiber layer and is configured to reflect the light toward the first side of the optical fiber layer. At least one layer of the lighting panel is an aesthetic layer selected for aesthetic appeal and being visible from the light emitting side of the lighting panel in an unlit state.
