The retractable shade presents a reflective surface which, in withdrawn position, is placed in the lower part of the reflector, is turned forward and contributes to the second-type beam.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for controlling a polyphase voltage inverter the inverter being designed to control a load in terms of pulse width modulation and to be connected upstream to a voltage source via a DC bus and downstream to an electrical load. It is connected to a control logic which implements said method. A geometric structure is produced while taking account of the constraints downstream and upstream of the inverter. More particularly, an upstream constraint relates to the voltage of the supply source at the input of the inverter. An error vector is also produced.

The exit surface of the lenses chosen so as to be able to be connected on a continuous surface with the exit surfaces of the lenses of adjacent modules. In addition, the mid-line of the lens is formed by a skew curve arc, and a correcting optical system is provided between the reflector and the lens for obtaining a satisfactory cutoff line, according in particular to the geometry of the entry face and exit face of the lens.

Abstract: A pulse width modulation (PWM) control circuit for a multimode electrical machine and a multimode electrical machine equipped with such a control circuit, including a configuration circuit that detects the operation mode of the electrical machine and produces a pulse width modulation to control a reversible current inverter circuit such that the electrical machine operates optimally in torque in engine modes and in current generator modes. The invention applies to vehicle alternators and starters.
Abstract: A minimal volume boss may be formed as key and keyway assembly defining a shaft along the interface between the two pieces. A threaded fastener may be threaded into the shaft to lock the two pieces together. Because the key can have minimal volume, the cavitation spot opposite the key, typically formed during molding can be eliminated on fine surfaces. By properly keying the pieces, rotation between parts can also be eliminated. This helps automated torque sensing tools read and apply the proper torque in automated assembly.
Abstract: The embodiments described herein include a control system and method configured to communicate over a power line. The system includes a transmitting device configured to generate a carrier signal having a predetermined frequency over the power line. A receiving device is also included wherein it filters signals not having the predetermined frequency and receives the carrier signal. Accordingly, the receiving device activates an electrical device in response to the carrier signal.

Abstract: Heat exchanger assemblies of increased strength are provided having louvered fins that achieve both high thermal efficiency and high strength simultaneously. By providing for a three-piece louvered fin, tube-fin heat exchangers having at least one three-piece single louver block, and, in particular, a streamlined inclined three-piece single louver block, exhibit fins with superior characteristics and overall strength for heat exchanger assembly of louvered fin design, with reduced areas or zones of boundary layer air.
Abstract: A pantograph-type windscreen wiper is disclosed, wherein the angular movement of the pantograph makes it possible to modify a wiper blade orientation on the plane of the pantograph rods and also to modify the blade attack angle, i.e. the angle between the blade and the normal to the windscreen surface. The wiper improves wiping performance, in particular on the lateral areas of a panoramic windscreen.
Abstract: An automotive HVAC unit with a dividing wall comprising 3 dimensional dividing wall contour is provided. Connectors and/or fixation devices are used on the dividing wall so that the wall, along with the main housing wall, forms an air tight seal at an area of connection of the dividing wall and the housing. An integral dividing wall connector allows other main housing and/or dividing wall connectors to further stabilize and/or enhance the seal between housing and wall parts by use of various fixation devices or attachment means, such as snaps, screws, or clips.
