In response to a request from the first user to follow a perspective of the second user, the computer device determines whether a cyclic dependency would be formed, then updates the output video stream accordingly. If a cyclic dependency would be formed, the computer device maintains the viewing direction of the particular user. If no cyclic dependency would be formed, the computer device switches to generating the output video stream based on a viewing direction associated with the second user.
