  • Patent number: 7536765
Abstract: Process for fabricating an axle that includes a cross-member and arms which are assembled to extremities of the cross-member, wherein the process includes forming a cross-member, forming at least one arm, arranging the cross-member and the at least one arm in a fastening position, and fastening together in a rigid manner the cross-member and the at least one arm using a magneto-forming process. Wherein the fastening occurs while the cross-member and the at least one arm are in the fastening position and at least one of the cross-member and the at least one arm include at least one metallic material. This abstract is not intended to define the invention disclosed in the specification, nor intended to limit the scope of the invention in any way.

  • Patent number: 6960202
Abstract: A self-contained cryotherapy apparatus adapted to be operated with one hand, using flashing temperature of a cartridge liquefied gas (CO2) sprayed in partly solid phase onto the epidermis. The cartridge support and the ejection and expansion system are aligned therewith and in the axis thereof, inside a housing whereof the median part acts as handle to be grasped by the adult user's hand, whereof the upper part includes an input for inserting the cartridge with its head down and into the housing axis and striking it or for removing it after use, and whereof the lower part includes a calibrated opening forming a passage for the sprayed gas substantially in the housing axis and elements for controlling its effect on the epidermis.

  • Patent number: 6263720
Abstract: A method including the following successive operations carried out on a tube section: a) swaging one end to form at least two longitudinal strips folded down edge to edge and radially projecting outwards; b) cutting out the external projection of the strips to obtain at least two longitudinally separate tabs; and c) shaping the tabs into wings. The method can be used for making stirrups or fork joints at the end of a tubular part. It can also be used to produce semirigid axles or cradles for motor vehicles.

  • Patent number: 6216330
Abstract: An assembly is formed of two parts sleeved together in a cruciform arrangement, namely an at least locally cylindrical part and a tubular part having a transverse hole into which the cylindrical part is forcibly inserted. To brace internally the wall of the tubular part on the side from which the cylindrical part is inserted, before such insertion a spacer is inserted into the tubular part through the hole in it and thereafter extends along a portion of the perimeter of the hole. Applications include the assembly of two parts.

  • Patent number: 6186696
Abstract: An assembly (10) formed of two parts pressed together in cruciform arrangement comprises a cylindrical part (11) and a tubular part (12). The tubular part (12) has a transverse hole (14) bordered by rims (18) extending toward each other. A spacer (16) in the form of a ring is inserted between the walls (15) of the tubular part (12), surrounding the region where the hole is to be formed. The rims are then deflected toward each other into engagement with the interior of the ring, the ring having a height equal to the distance between the walls (15). Thus, the ring (16) braces the tubular part (12) internally around the hole (14).

  • Patent number: 6141985
Abstract: A self-contained portable cryogenic apparatus that operates at the temperature (of the order of -78.degree. C. at atmospheric pressure) reached by reducing the pressure of carbon dioxide (CO.sub.2) or equivalent in liquid/solid phase, comprising a reservoir of pressurized liquefied CO.sub.2, the drawing off head being connected to a liquid/solid CO.sub.2 pressure reduction and ejection system, and comprising a control device, a pressure reduction device and a device for checking the temperature in the area to which it is applied, remarkable in that the top of the CO.sub.2 reservoir is arranged on the apparatus such that during the entire usage period, only the liquid part of the CO.sub.2 inside the reservoir comes into contact with the head so that it is drawn off and forced towards the application area through a pressure reduction and ejection system. The apparatus is particularly suitable for use in sports medicine in the form of a spray gun.
