A robot arm (6) is inserted into the central core piece (3) of at least one reel (R1) and is then used to move the (R1) from a first position (P1) to a second position (P2) and to fix an inner label (15) onto the central core piece (3). According to the invention, the inner label (15) is placed on the robot arm (6) before the robot arm (6) is inserted into the central core piece (3) and the robot arm (6) is used both to fix the inner label (15) to the central core piece (3) and to move the at least one reel (R1).

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method of transferring a tissue web with residual moisture to a Yankee cylinder and final removal of the dried tissue web from the Yankee cylinder using a doctor blade and collecting the dried web on a reel-up machine forming a tissue reel. The invention also relates to the Yankee adhesive composition per se. The method involves preparation of a water solution of a Yankee adhesive composition with less than 10% final solids content to be applied on the surface of the Yankee cylinder ahead of transferring the tissue web with residual moisture to the Yankee cylinder. The inventive method applies an aqueous PVOH solution with a very high molecular weight polyvinyl alcohol as a part of the solid content of the Yankee adhesive in an amount ranging from 20-65% of the final solids content of the Yankee adhesive. The aqueous PVOH solution with the very high molecular weight polyvinyl alcohol establish a viscosity ranging from 90 cP to 300 cP.

The fabric (10) wraps the roll (4) from the first contact point (11) by more than 80°. The invention also relates to a method of operating the machine.

After the dewatering nip, the fibrous web is conveyed by the endless steel belt (11) to an endless textured fabric (12) which is permeable to air and to which the web is transferred from the endless steel belt (11) in a transfer nip. The textured fabric (12) runs at a lower speed than the endless belt (11). After the transfer to the textured fabric (12), the fibrous web is carried by the textured fabric (12) to a drying cylinder (17). The transfer nip is formed by two rolls of which one is a suction roll within the loop of the textured fabric.

The peak pressure in the transfer nip lies in the range 2 MPa-8 MPa.

Another portion of the first hydrolyzate comprising monomeric sugars is removed and converted to the bio-product, preferably after a refining hydrolysis step. The process also produces a hemicellulose-depleted feedstock which is preferably treated to produce a cellulosic pulp.

The air flow will then catch fines, small fibers and water droplets and draw them into the final channel (25) thereby counteracting a build-up of large lumps of fines and fibers.
