    Abstract: The present invention relates to a gas-fired artificial log assembly for use in fireplaces or stoves, and more particularly to an improved gas-fired artificial log assembly which visually simulates, in a realistic fashion, a fire in a fireplace or stove stacked with generally horizontally disposed artifical logs, and which at the same time supplies substantial space heat to the surrounding room environment.
