    Abstract: A utility vehicle (10) comprising a ventilation system (30) which receives air from the environment, filters the air and supplies the filtered air into a cab (18). The system comprises a fan (54) to drive air through a channel from the environment to the cab, and a main air filter arranged within a roof section (24) of the cab and downstream of a pre-filter. The pre-filter (32;72) rotates about a rotation axis which is substantially parallel to the air flow through the pre-filter so as to reduce the particulate matter which reaches the main filter. The rotation of the pre-filter (32;72) creates a centrifugal force which forces the particulate matter radially outwardly to reduce the build-up of matter on the filter, thus reducing the frequency of servicing. The pre-filter can be integrated into a cab ventilation system or provided in a module which can be added to a vehicle having a conventional ventilation system.

    Abstract: A utility vehicle cab ventilation system is provided in which at least one open channel (30,32) is moulded into an interior trim component (22,24). The channel serves to convey air which is driven by a pump (42). Cover elements (34,36) engage in place over the channel and comprise vent holes which are distributed along its length. The channels provide a uniform distribution of clean air to the cab and can be designed around existing components (20). Furthermore, the integrating of ventilation components into the trim by moulding reduces the total number of components and saves assembly time and cost.

    Abstract: A tractor cab suspension system has a single support unit (11) which mounts one end of the cab (10) from a chassis (12) of a tractor. The single support unit (11) acts as a noise isolator and does not allow significant vertical oscillation of the cab relative to the chassis but allows the cab to pivot relative to the chassis in pitch (P) and roll (R) modes. Cab support means (13) is provided at the other end of the cab which supports the cab from the chassis and damps pitching of the cab about the single support. Roll damper means (15) are also provided to damp rolling of the cab about the single support, and a control means (18) extends between the cab and chassis which controls transverse movement of the cab relative to the chassis.

The back support has an asymmetric profile (18) which includes a cut-away portion (20) at a position corresponding to a user's first shoulder, and a mounting point (25) corresponding to a point located above the user's second shoulder for attachment of a three-point harness (22, 24). Provision of the cut-away portion on one upper corner of the seat maintains a portion on the opposite side of the seat for location of the three-point harness thus delivering increased freedom of movement for the operator whilst incorporating safety requirements.

    Abstract: A driver interface assembly (10) is provided comprising a controller element (15) mounted to a body (16) which forms an integral part of an armrest (11) associated with a driver's seat (12). The body is rotatable with respect to the armrest between two positions: (a) an operating position, in which the controller element is exposed for operation thereof, and (b) a stowed position in which the controller element is concealed from use. The body remains substantially within the profile of the armrest when in both the operating position and the stowed position. The volume occupied by the armrest (11) can therefore be exploited to mount and stow a controller element (15). This is particularly advantageous in a working environment where space is at a premium.
