Abstract: A method for preparing an aqueous food supplement for cattle wherein water and at least one substrate is used for preparing an aqueous solution of micro- and macro-elements. At least phosphoric acid being added to said water in order to lower the pH of said aqueous food supplement to be obtained to such an extent, that substantially no phosphate precipitation takes place and at least one substantially water insoluble substance is dissolved in said water acidified by phosphoric acid. An additional food supplement comprising a substantially saturated solution of calcium chloride and/or magnesium chloride can be added to the food supplement.
